The gumminess isnt because of the drum indexing system, its from the drool of the factory workers upon seeing these beautiesssss
And the resistance when pushing forward is when it pushes the dart it has to get the dart out of the snug drum trying to push forward without a dart the resistance dosen't happen

You can technically swap out the drum and slap a new fully loaded drum in like its just a bulky magazine.

As much as I still love mags, I really appreciate discussing the point and validity for the drum. That rear loading is OP functional.
And I really appreciate keeping the toyetic parts of these dart blasters in the conversation. Otherwise we may as well just be playing airsoft at some point...

Nope. You're not the only one! But I s'pose since they made essentially a Nexus Pro 2.0 for Walmart, they had to make a Stryker 2.0 for Target. IMHO, paint it red then "Viola!" a Tomcat 2.0.

Magazines only make sense if you already have a really big collection. This seems like the perfect way to get into the pro line, as you can just rely on the drum and if you buy the pistols and stuff now you can use the mags with it.
I'm a proud owner of the first Max Stryker model. I modified mine a lot to keep up with the 3d printed blasters my friends have. I have used it for years, and I was thinking of replacing it. Right when I start looking for a new primary, this comes out. It hits harder than my modified stryker OUT OF THE BOX. It has a DRUM, where my biggest issue with the stryker was how many times I would have to reload my mags in some trench during a match. It has a SCAR barrel, which I was planning on buying separately for mine. It has a better stock for Iron sights, and It has an AR-style grip. On top of that it has Slamfire (I think the old stryker had it too, which I loved)
I feel as if this blaster was custom-made for me, fixing all the issues I had with the previous one. I swear, dart zone is the GOAT!
I never cared for the OG Stryker since we had the Nexus but this one is absolutely insane.

Slam fire is such a funny term. Us old guys call it an autotrigger on a paintball marker. 😂 It's great for intimidating the target, but you're probably not hitting anyone.
Slamfire is a term actually coming from the real steel world. It's first noted being used to refer to using it with pump shotguns.

It's better for cqc, like spray and prey.
Comes from old shotguns. Got the name because on older shotties you could just hold the trigger down and the hammer would never catch.
If you "Slammed" the pumpgrip forward fast enough you could chamber the next shell before the hammer fell, letting you just keep pumping to keep fireing. Later it became more refined and an intended feature, and the Blaster Hobby picked up the term as well.
If you're bad you aren't, I'mma be real, slamfire can basically act as full auto if you get your technique good enough. The crusher and villianator are very very nice

25 does seem a bit low capacity for a drum, though I imagine if it was larger it would likely start to get in the way of priming
I like having both options, since i like the idea of using the drum and then change to the mags when empty, or using the mags and when they're empty going Full scav mode
This might be one of the coolest looking blaster ever, the sci-fi aesthetic is awesome

DZ is spoiling us with some of the best stuff we've ever seen at affordable prices. They are singlehandedly carrying our hobby in retail and symbiotic with out existence. Lol you're definitely not wrong about the height over bore for the Nexus X. I feel like I need to put my head in harms way just to aim over cover.
The gummy pull and push is there, but it's part of a system of redundant guides to reduce the prime locking from bending your wrist as you prime (pretty common for most people). My biggest gripe is that my scar SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED my accuracy with this blaster (lost way to much force, my nerf 2.0 jolt was out performing it). This scar issue wasn't there initially, instead it had a different issue... it was throwing my shots upwards by about 3-5 feet higher than I was aiming!!! The nitroshot darts are a tiny bit better accuracy than basic xshot reds, except that I used them in my outlaw and they came out scraped all to hell with reduced accuracy in outlaw now (will need to clean barrel later)... so comparability issues. The sights, yeah they don't hold worth crap but the front alone does set the height pretty well (general point of impact too). The great thing is that these sights fit perfectly snug and accurate on the longshot (which had the same issue), but haven't found any cross sights that work for this gun yet. I like the rear load feature but wish they would have just made the chambers more snug vs using a lever near the rear to add compression (as this can deform the darts and lead to poorer accuracy). Overall, I still want this gun to be as accurate as it was for Walcom (I'm a marksman style shooter, that's why I got it)... while it's still double the accuracy of an unmodified longshot it's still far from that (so I'm gonna hope I get a better scar or bcar when I buy the nexus pro x... till then I just got the maxim pro and less bullseyes but same spread, way better in many ways both in terms of performance and purchasing).
now everyone just needs to make FULL-LENGTH DARTS better and every one can be happy

I'm definitely in the Drum > Magazine camp. The Turbo Advance is still one of my favorites (haven't moved into the Pro ecosystem since I haven't had a reason to) because of the high capacity drums that are really easy to make rear-loading.
My original Max Stryker is one of my best blasters!

My only gripe with this blaster is that it abandoned the horizontal grip. I love the stryker 1.0 because of it's grip.
He should have a mod video for this, so we can see what the inside looks like in depth and how to make it better.
I like that for the drum to go in it has a cut out kind of like a Tommy gun

Honestly, the only thing they could add to their catalog would be fiber optic sights; simple and way more useable.
Sight over bore that's good, drum mag (and regular mags), and comes with a SCAR barrel all come together to make this blaster pretty good, but can it be reloaded while primed (regular mags)?

To be honest you could carry a bunch of mags and once all are empty swap to the drum so you are now in scav mode to get darts back up. This would allow you to swap between faster reloads at the start and being able to scavenge for the drum.
Or you can carry drums, top off a drum, switch to a not full one and start topping that one off.
