The marvel of Newgrange at winter solstice never fails to capture our attention. On the mornings of December 20th, 21st and 22nd, you’ll again be able to join the live-stream of the Winter Solstice sunrise from within the chamber at Newgrange.
I’m delighted that the winter solstice is now accessible to so many people in this way.
This has been made possible through the work of my OPW colleagues and our National Monuments Service. I thank them for again finding an innovative way for us all to participate in this experience and share such an important part of Ireland’s cultural heritage on a global scale.
I hope that you’ll take some time to join the live stream over the next few days, coming together online with people across Ireland and beyond, to witness this remarkable phenomenon in celebration of the winter solstice.

I watched today, Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from Poulsbo, Washington State, USA. 'Twas wonderful. Thanks for streaming this event. With hope for sun tomorrow, I'll watch again.🙂

The crucial piece of information is missing. Where/how to view the livestream??? The Heritage Ireland web page that I checked had a livestream attempt but kept timing out and so I was unable to view there. What other web locations are there? Is there no livestream here on your CZcams channel?

Yes. Eventually got onto a site with a countdown clock an hour out. Bright outside already.
So disappointed. Shoddy. Our taxes pay for this. It’s not a charity

@@nationalmonumentsservice8795I have a...geode...the length of my palm white cone shaped (mildly) very distinct center where the large ends connect. The ends are a curved fracture that broke off,I still have it, and the other has a Y shaped fracture. There are swirls all over it. I seen a newgrange video that has a very large version. If I could please have your email, I will send pictures
