4:20 From a German perspective: how our dad used to gaslight us on vacation in Denmark when weather didn’t cooperate:
    - the waves are great!
    - see over there the sky becomes already lighter.
    - the wind will blow the clouds away in no time
    - our tent is strong and waterproof!
    - no standing in line for showers this evening!
    Love danish summers!🌸🌊🦭

You just have to become more Danish, Mike. There is that time of the year which we all reach at some point, where we just decide that now it is summer, and come hell or high water we will wear t-shirts and shorts or skirts or the likes. It is a mind-set I tell you! (and as someone whose 'point' tends to arrive a bit later than everyone else's, it does get awkward to run around wearing a coat when people next to you have sandals and no socks.)
Also arguably, it is nice when it is warm and it rains.

It's going to get a little less cold in the winter and a lot less hot in the summer. This summer HAS been more rainy than the average, but in 2018 we had six weeks straight with no rain at the height of summer. Danes with their Viking genes intact were suffering, and the vegetation was basically gunpowder.
But that pretty much paints a picture of what you can expect: Don't expect anything, but what you get won't be in any particular category of extreme. Except that one time every 10-15 years when a hurricane comes by and rips big trees up and blow roofs off barns.

Summers in Denmark can be absolutely great, but summers in Denmark can also be somewhat cold, rainy and windy.

    It really depends.
I have lived in Singapore since 2008 and I would enjoy any summer in Denmark no matter the weather. When you live in a place where every day is in the 30s (C) and very humid, you actually long for cooler weather, rain and wind.

If you want to experience the Danish summer, you'd have to be here over roughly 11 summers.
Then you have experienced it all, from a cold, disappointing summer (like 2024), to a heat wave summer and everything in between.
What I mean by heat wave summer, is 3-5 weeks of 27-34°C and temperatures at night barely going below 20°C. Those summers are miserable.
We might be lucky and get a so-called Indian summer this year, but they are probably rarer.
It's when we get 2-3 weeks in September (or even later), with 20-25°C. They usually fall on summers with shitty weather.
