We have one here that does actually have AC in it. It was built for a customer in Saudi Arabia. Now a gentleman in San Diego owns it and is getting his rating with us.
Do you need a PPL to fly these types of aircrafts?
Not in the USA. You can get a light sport pilot -gyroplane certificate/license in as little as 20 hours.
What was that exercise achieving
We were working on coordinating and controlling the aircraft. Practicing for crosswind landing.
