This recording was made by Peter Anthony Smith in Recital Hall East at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, on the 29th of January, 2015. It comes from an edition of Mimart's etudes edited by Jacques Lancelot. Interesting fact: Prosper Mimart was a French clarinet professor in the early 20th Century, and gave the premiere performance of Debussy's 'Premiere Rhapsody', which is now standard clarinet repertoire. The work received public airing in a competition in 1910, but Mimart gave the first formal concert performance in 1911.

The beginning sounds like the Coda of Wieniawski's variations on an original theme.

I tried buying this online but it was back ordered and wasn’t going to come any time soon. I’d love to use this for an audition so can you please let us know when we can find this on IMSLP? Thanks so much for putting this up!

No worries! Wish I could help more, but I've lost my original copy! Good luck, hope it turns up for you soon.

If memory serves, an old library sale, many years ago. Unfortunately I can't track down the score any more!

To be honest, I'm not sure! I haven't seen it readily available anywhere...so one day when time allows in the future it might be worth seeing if I can get time to upload it to IMSLP, presuming the copyright checks out.
