@MRJKYT, I sold my H9 Taylorcraft last year. This was a very good flying plane and the DLE 30 is a nice little power house. The only thing that needs to be changed on the TC is where the bottom of the windsheld attaches to the fuse. The screws have nothing to attach to except balsa sheeting. I'm thinking of buying another DLE 30 for the Sig Rascal 110 that is due out in August.
@MRJKYT The plane has only had the normal mods I do to all ARF's. I use epoxy filets on all the stress points that I can get to. Other than that it's stock.
Not a very impressive flight. No finesse on the sticks. Landing speed way to fast. Are you afraid of the plane/motor combo? Grossly over powered and flown like a pylon racer. Slam and go instead of touch and go. Throwing it around trying to impress. Every flight like that is an opportunity missed to demonstrate the grace and beauty of a plane like this Taylorcraft. Specially when it has that much power available. The best part of the flight was the taxi back to the pits. Too bad its a nice combo.
So Randall Rogers....did you get into this hobby just so you could bitch and complain to others because you don't know how to fly very well yourself??? If you want to make bad comments tell it to the guy in the mirror.
I've been doing this over 50 years I have flown everything from fixed wing aircraft , helis and racing drones. And I stand by what I wrote. I watched your video and said what I saw. The guy in the mirror fly's just fine. I never said you couldn't fly. I said that was an unimpressive flight. Seems you are the one that's worried about what some one may think about your flying ability. Remember I didn't say you couldn't fly. I thought it could be flown more like what it was designed for. That's just an opinion based on fact. Someone else may see it differently. If you are worried about what someone may say in an open forum like CZcams about what you present for others to see. You don't have to present it. But that's up to you. You are free to do so. And everyone else is free to comment.
Well Randall Rogers....Seems like all you did was slam me, the way I fly, and my plane. Your the kind of guy that gives this hobby a bad name. Just because you have been flying for 50+ years you seem to think you know it all and are better than everyone else. Your the guy that everyone can' t wait until you leave the field so they don't have to hear all your crap about the rules, the way people fly, and the way the grass is cut. Looks like your just wanting to see the plane fly the only way you think the full size Taylorcraft was flown. I think if you do a little research you'll find that the clipped wing version was much more. That's why H9 came out with the ARF.
