    For those wondering, once you click the battery compartment down, you slide the cover towards the strum bar

    If you’ve got a 360 controller and struggle to open it like I did, check the void sticker. There’s a screw under there. Struggle for way too long until I studied the guitar in the video closely.

    Can find every screw driver I own but a decent sized flat hat, just couldn't seem to pry it open. Do you think it's possible to fix a squeeky strum bar with WD40, without dissassembly?

    • @shreddyeddy7391
      @shreddyeddy7391  Před 3 lety +1

      Id just let it squeak man i dont think wd40 would be good or maybe contact cleaner made for electronics or can of air

      @@shreddyeddy7391 I've modded a couple other ones, it want much too different. Most of the Wii controllers have the same circuit layout so I made a universal one and sent it out to be made. It uses the Kailh 1350's low profile switches. Soldering isn't much of an issue either, just need to make sure that the wires connect to their corresponding solder point.

    At first I couldn't figure it out as well, but you DO NOT have to remove any screws. The bottom silver button on the neck has an arrow on it. Depress it and slide the cover down and thats it.

    • @markmehlhaff1946
      @markmehlhaff1946 Před 3 lety

      Idk, this one is a ps3 version. The remote probably goes in there because mine has a big insert for just the batteries. Cover needs some coaxing to get it off. Keep it flat and slide it straight down towards the strum bar.

    The side where the battery component is (ps3) is a bitch to deal with. I use a screwdriver to spoon the guitar apart, but it won't work. I am afraid I'm using to much force and break it. I thought I missed one or two screws but no, I count 11 srcews and thats all I have to take off.

    • @shreddyeddy7391
      @shreddyeddy7391  Před 4 lety

      Whada Fish I haven’t taken apart a ps3 guitar of warriors but the wii one definitely felt like i was going to break it so i just went for it its probably just really sealed in to those clips possibly

      @whadafish9440 Před 4 lety +4

      @@shreddyeddy7391 I did it just after your response. If you take out all the screws (Ps3 has eleven) you can feel that on both ends it is loose but the middle section is literaly impossible to open with your hands. The Guitar snaps back together and you hurt your fingers. What I did was what you told me in the video and I used more force than I was comfortable with. I pluged two screwdrivers on each side in the middle section between the "shell" of the guitar and the part you take out at 0:55 and just spooned it out with the power of physics. It was so loud I thought I broke something on my guitar, but no nothing broke. Maybe this comment helps someone else in the future. And thanks for your video!
