Angsty Phoebe was so well done by McKenna. I have been saying for weeks, this movie is a live action version of The Real Ghostbusters, with the cast of Afterlife
Watching this in theaters was soooooo cinematic and fun.
It was immersive for me imo.
I love how this movie gave us a new villain and introducing a magic in this world. It’s not to insane for a ghostbusters film.
And yes the mayor is Walter Peck.
If you’d like to know what happens in the containment unit then you definitely need to watch some episodes of The Real Ghostbusters Cartoon
Just watched this, like BTTF2, this introduces a ton of new directions to go. Where Afterlife was basically GB3, This is the real reboot.
I love this movie. It’s not my favorite GB but I think it’s been treated too harshly.

Don't know if you realized it yet - but the mayor was dickless from the first ghostbusters movie that had the electrician shut off the protection grid because Venkman wouldn't take him downstairs

This movie was intended to be more like a Real Ghostbusters episode . With the Pheobe subplot.
It was pretty good. These 2 movies remind me a lot of the 1st two movies. The 1st one was great and the sequel was ok but nowhere near as good.
That's a good comparison. Although as somebody who absolutely who absolutely loves The second Ghostbusters fi can honestly say.I do not surprised that I enjoy frozen empire as much as I do

About what?
As a fan it pains me to say this but I have to be honest - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a bad movie.
The film is total a mess. It's an overstuffed, poorly paced, confusing, convoluted movie with an unnecessarily complicated plot.
There are far too many characters, some of which have been needlessly shoehorned into the story. Many if the characters are also very bland, with very little personality, charisma, likability, humor or chemistry.
It's overstuffed with unnecessary dialogue, dull subplots, pointless characters and scenes which go on for far too long.
It's not funny either. I didn't laugh once during the movie, and neither did the audience I was watching it with. It's not frightening either. There are no scares in the film. Laughs and scares are two things you expect from a Ghostbusters film, but this latest entry in the series is completely devoid of any.
Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan may be talented directors, but they're the wrong people to be writing Ghostbusters films. Afterlife was mediocre at best, but Frozen Empire is just plain bad.
With a heavy heart, I rate this film 3 out of 10.
I feel a lot of fans are in denial about just how bad this film is.
No Frozen Empire is not a bad movie. A bad movie IMHO, is "a comedy" movie that is nothing more than "jokes" and "overlong SNL skits" That are strung together By action set pieces. This after of course burning through eight hours of film recording a sketch about wanton's and a dog named mike hat. In comparison to that "comedy", Frozen empire is a master class in filmmaking. And for this Particular ghost head, who has been in the franchise ever since watching the first movie and the real Ghostbusters, before Ghostbusters, 2 came out as far back as 1988, this film had a real Ghostbusters feel with the cast of After life.
@@bemasaberwyn55 I think it is a bad movie. It's not as terrible as Answer The Call, but it's still bad.
