Yep. When I was a child, my father had me learn wrestling, grappling and judo.. I aked to learn boxing and he said "don't bother... if a man attacks you, it's unlikely you can overpower him with punches... but unless he is well trained in wrestling, judo and grappling himself, even a small girl / woman has a good chance to overwhelm a much larger man" ... He was right, in my early 30's, decades after he told me that, I was attacked while waiting for a cab - I put him into a chokehold until he passed out (I also broke his arm at the elbow for good measure). I weighed 122 lbs then, the man weighed probably 200 about.
