"Maybe beat our greatest enemy ever, the french."
Probably true
Greatest as in most prominent enemy.
Not great as in good quality and an enemy.
Is he wrong?
The French are the Main Enemy of every Human
Please they're frenemies 😅😅 in fact, bffs for frenemies 😁
"King George dies, he usually does." Think about George never dying as a non historical thing.
queen george II
In a non-historical playthrough, biology does not exist
I thought the same 1 second after he said it
"We live, in a period."
-Oswald "Gamer" Mosely, 1938.
*We certainly do Mr. Mosely. We certainly do.*
gangweed man
I might be out of the loop, what's with Mosley and the gamer references and Opera?
@@Taureor people say gamer
When referring to nationalist ideologies because of censorship
@@Taureor it's hard to explain honestly. There's a super scuffed meme you can look up from a year ago. People extrapolate meaning from it for their own views, but really just meaningless humor. Which really is the best kind.
@@Taureor Mosley once said in an interview "We live in a period". People compared it to a "gamer" meme of "we live in a society"
33:45 "...but we can at least introduce some chaos to (Yugoslavia)". Taureor, I don't believe an introduction to chaos has ever been necessary in that specific part of the world...
I think it's fine, you dont have to prepare for every playtrough, but say if you're not prepared so people who want to copy the strategy watch the whole video first.
This
Please like this is so much better
I prefer seeing the runs with mistakes, better at showing how you adapt when things don't go to plan.
This is how most of us play and it's how I would appreciate seeing others play 😂
Playing as Yugoslavia, go down the path where you release your territories, don't reunite them, don't join any factions and beat the Axis
edit: just survive the german assault until the allies/comintern mop them up maybe?
Balkanize the World. Conquer every nation and balkanize it to the best of your abilities.
Are you a masochist
@@user-pm3jp4lq4o he's a sadist
@@thegreatestdane8978 You'd need to flip communist somehow to get the Military command to get +500 manpower a week no doubt.
And then proceed to drain Axis in similar manner how you'd complete the 30 Minutes of Hel achivement and then..... I dunno? Cry?
You get bonkers industry since a lot of focus trees but no manpower
Mister Oswald "Gamer" Mosley
It was nice seeing the mistakes as for me it helps me recognize where I would probably make the same mistake.
I like when you make mistakes as opposed to pure researched guides. The videos of guides I watch I have to watch multiple
times to remember the optimal route. When you make a mistake live it reminds me not to make that mistake much easier than you doing everything correctly the first time.
Idea for your next video:
Go down the "Lead the Minor Democracies" path on Historical as the Netherlands, with the goal of forming the European Union and owning all of your cores.
I've done this a couple of times, it's quite a fun run, and you end up at war with almost every major faction in the game.
A couple tips for this, from my experience:
-First, rush the "Foundations for a European Union" focus. This will get all the minor European democracies into your faction. You'll pick up Belgium and Luxembourg along the way.
-Refuse the German demand for the Sudetenland. For some weird reason, they don't get a wargoal. Might be a bug; please don't tell Paradox!
-When Poland refuses Danzig or War (will happen a little earlier due to focuses being skipped in their tree!), but before Germany declares war, guarantee them. Immediately join the war, and overrun as much of Germany as you can. They'll be spread so thin that you can continuously advance and capitulate the Germans by the end of 1939, and Italy soon after.
-In the peace deal, try to take Sardinia, Sicily and Zara. And as much of Germany as possible.
-Use your focus wargoal against the Britain and Order 66 the French with military access from the war. Possible but difficult without Order 66 as well. The rest of continental Europe should fall to you easily, and then you can form the EU; but be careful that your allies don't get any of the territories you need for the EU.
I hope you try this, it's one of my favorite runs. If you have any questions about this, I'll be happy to help.

I really enjoy seeing you adapt as you play, makes it more interesting!!

an interesting video could be you starting off with every technology, although you're fighting the whole world as a result
basically you being super buffed vs literally every country. you can pick whatever country you want to be.
just tried this as the UK as I figured it'd be easy, honestly pretty fun
I really enjoy that you don’t pre-test and make actual mistakes. Most other content creators prep to make them look perfect which isn’t realistic for real players. Watching your videos includes some unexpected things but also shows players how to handle unexpected things, or make decisions without knowing the perfect path first. Please keep doing your current method as it makes your videos more enjoyable.
One must admit Mr. Mosely is a handsome devil.
I liked it a lot, love the none-histoical stuff.
I'd also like to see you play multiplayer
@Taureor: First of all I loved this video. I like non historical for all that is not guides. Then seeing you figure things out on the fly is great as it shows your thought process and enables one to learn better.
As a suggestion for a video: Beat the US as the Dominican Republic without order 66.
The perfect morning. Waking up and seeing Taureor posted not even 5 minutes ago. Day made
That's when you know it's gonna be a good weekend.
I love these videos, keep up the great work!
I like the "live" videos a lot. there's value in prepared video occasionally, or for achievement run; salvaging run from mistake you just made is what I do constantly. it's worthwhile to see how you handle with it, so I can learn as well
Another idea from me:
Play as Germany (Democratic).
Create a new fraction "Europe".
Puppet all 28 EU countries ingame with nearly original borders.
i like it with mistakes because it adds more flavor to the run plus it probaply more fun for you to just go in and have fun instead of doing the same run like 5 times, i get bored halway into one game i cant imagine doing it over and over
I like that you try things differently almost every rum. And i do enjoy you going through a game for the first time. Keep up the good work!😁
I like it with no mistakes to see exactly what to do and how it runs. Thanks
On the one hand it might be beneficial for people to lern from your live mistakes, on the other hand it might be more enjoyable to see those strategies unfold perfectly.
I enjoy it when strategies unfold perfectly
i like your content like this its feels more real, because you didnt rehearse this playthough. much love and support for the content
Your cool reaction to your mistakes is inspiring. I like your confidence in your abilities and the ways you repair setbacks.
Please leave your mistakes in!
I think a cool idea would be to go for the Tannu Tuva achievment sice it requires the manipulation of the game that you like so much
At 54:00 minutes I checked the timestamp and couldn't believe I actually watched the wholle thing without skipping or pausing once. That is just amazing video structure and editing. Good job Taureor
I prefer your 'unprepared' videos, it's cool to see you figure things out 'live' and the occasional mistake. I also feel like I learn more from the unprepared videos than the prepared ones.
That pronunciation of Saskatchewan
I'm here not for the game, but your calm voice. Best to fall sleep!
Game of course is nice too, always fun to watch what new idea you will come up with :)
Hi, I really enjoy your videos. I just recently got Hoi4 and your videos help me get better even though I only have man the guns.
(I’m currently doing a USA confederacy game)
i really enjoyed the more impromptu feel of the video, in regards to the adapting needing to be done.
I love that you adapt as you go along with mistakes and all... Also, could you do a playthrough where you unite Scandinavia and go on from there? Freedom of choice regarding country (I am Danish, but doing it as Denmark might be difficult).
I like seeing the unpolished runs. That way we get to hear your thought process.
The unplanned and random videos are great! More!
I think that both kinds of videos are entertaining. Minor mistakes are not really bothersome - everyone makes tiny mistakes in the games that they are good at and that's a nice thing to relate to xD
episode idea : I would like to recommend an episode as Japan/historical where your first conquest must be France and you must complete the conquest before France joins the Allies. This is interesting because this seems to break the game AI. After France is conquered, the Allies don't guaranty any of Europe against further Japanese aggression. With this strategy you can solve Japan's initial resource issues before you ever fight in Asia. (Hint : You can immediately request to join the Axis to get a naval invasion foothold in Europe. Joining the Axis and immediately invading France via a northern naval invasion is also the best way to play as Italy to rapidly form the New Roman Empire.)
I agree with mistakes crew - keep them in so we can learn how to bounce back from errors rather than strictly following your perfectly tested formula is how we get better at the game
This was a good video. I like the Ahistorical runs, especially with the great powers. It makes for a more interesting experience. I especially liked the Russian Forever Civil War. As a suggestion, I wouldn't mind seeing you focus on some mechanics that you do not usually focus on, such as playing a navel game with Italy or Japan, or playing an overhaul mod where you focus on the interesting mechanics rather than knocking over your neighbors with political machinations and leg infantry. XD
I personally really like seeing you trying out things for the first time, gives the video some nice uncertainty. Also, both historical and non-historical are fine.
As for video ideas, why not communist Turkey? It's a nice path to go down.
You could also try to do a non historical run where you try to get Austria-Hungary, the German empire, and the Ottomans back in a faction, and try to get back at Britain and France for WWI.
that whole thing with troop placements in the colonies feels like the setup to a fake CoD Zombies easter egg haha
I like the unplanned play through, they’re actually really entertaining. I also like ahistorical, not a lot of CZcamsrs do it and I think it makes runs unique
You could do the Dominion of North America - Canada and US so you can core it with Imperial Federation and then recreate European Union forming the strongest nation in HOI4 :D
Do a Bhutan conquest of Asia and you can use any exploit you want e.g. order 66. I know you love it so much. keep up the content
amazing start for the UK, the setup is just such a pain to get right... lots of fun tho
The British in Yugoslavia??? Seems accurate
Funny to watch as a new player tens of hours on CZcams about best division composition, support companies tier lists, ship, tank and airplane designers just too see you take over the world with mass spam of colonial divisions...
Historical videos are more helpful for beginners. The fact that you didn't prepare your run actually teaches to adapt to situations so it's not s biggie.
Good video, man,thanks.
Great video (as always). Still waiting for ethipio challenge btw
I actually really enjoyed the non historical aspect. It made it less predictable.
Im pretty sure Ive watched Mosley gameplay from you before , doesnt matter it was fun as always
I think you should keep the parts where you make mistakes. I enjoy seeing you make mistakes and then watch in joy as you prolong your video for 30 minutes trying to fix it. Jokes aside, i'd very much like to see an uncut video. And good video as always.
To be honest I like to see you run these games “live”
I think the biggest problem is that this focus path came out before La Resistance - when we got *much better* garrison mechanics. This is one of those Paradox DLC problems where the real solution would be to update the event to use the modern garrison system and/or Resistance/Compliance, instead of the old "put dudes on the map" garrison mechanic from back in the day - but they kinda can't.
I finally figured out what best describes Taureor, he is HOI4 ASMR
Challenge: As the UK, annex every ocean bordering state.
Literal Britannia rules the waves
One EU under mosly, with order and tea for all
Tested runs sound better. Ps amazing content loving it
Challenge Idea: Play as Germany or France and use no navy, at all. No battleships, No Aircraft carriers, no nothing. If you need to make invasions of something like, say Britain, then you could use paratroopers. See how far you can go
very cool bro keep it up
31:15 Little tip: bombing a nation gets them involved in the peacedeal.(you need to destroy atleast one building iirc)
I know it doesn't exactly apply here since Czechoslovakia is the faction leader thus a major, but I thought I'd tell you anyways.
Hope you find this useful, and I apologize if you already knew this.
Imho non historical is really fun.
Great vid btw.
Technically, Mosley is not "Mister Mosley", but "Sir Oswald Mosley". He was a baronet after all :)
Well, I can't say I expected you to actually take my suggestion!
Only complaint I have about this video is you missed out by not going for the Imperial Federation, since aside from getting cores on the United States via the Dominion of North America (it's something you get through a decision after doing Unite the Anglosphere; basically, after taking all the Mainland states in the US in a peace deal, you click said decision and then Canada gets all the states transferred to them, and Canada gets cores on the entirety of the US - which includes Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska if I'm not mistaken - and when you annex them via Imperial Federation, you gain all those additional cores), you would've also unlocked the ability to form the European Union if you had the required states.
You could hypothetically get cores from the additional states required to form Mutapa (Botswana, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe) and Polynesia (pretty much every small island in the pacific that isn't owned by the Dutch East Indies, Australia, or Malaya, and also Taiwan for some odd reason) if South Africa and New Zealand were to respectively form each nation due to Imperial Federation not having a fixed set of cores (before you ask, you couldn't get cores on the Dutch East Indies if Malaya formed their formable nation, since you don't core Malay via the Imperial Federation).
I don’t remember so it is new to me is such a vibe.
It would be awesome to see you do more abstract nation ideas such as the confederate idea of the Knights of the Golden Circle or the Celtic Union.
i think you should leave mistakes in the video and explain how to avoid them. this could be useful for people looking to play new countries that theyre not familiar with. love bro ❤️
This is probably the hardest challenge ever,I call it "Triple B,"as Croatia released by Italy at the start of the game 1936 start date, conquer all Balkan nations, the whole coastline on the black sea,and the Baltic states and shores of the Baltic sea, btw,if you still for some reason have a save of the time you made Austria-Hungary as Croatia, you can use it and continue from there.
For tutorials I’d like to see lots of testing and no mistakes
But with challenge runs like this it would be nice to see some mistakes
watching you makes me play hoi4 so I can do things differently
Saving the game and then loading through the "load game" button allows you to click the war screen again. I have constantly dealt with this issue for some reason all the time for the last 2 years.
FUCK IT! WE DO IT LIVE! WE DO IT LIVE!
If it's a difficult run (like USSR truck only vs. Buffed Germany) then I'm fine with tested runs, but I would prefer untested runs for easier challenges
"Men want just one thing and it's f-ing disgusting:" (insert a picture of Oswald Mosley smiling here)
Starting watching, excited!
Tbh I kinda prefer Moseleys path over Edward, Soley because you can do secure the dominions, and keep the dominions. Plus, both pretty much have the part of the god save the king tree
I agree, Mosely path is superior to Edwards. In fact, Moselys path is one of the most OP paths (if not the most) of the game in general.
Edward gives some really strong advisors (including Mosley, ironically) and you don't have to deal with the marches RNG or the ball-aching secure the dominions decisions. The Monarchists get to just cause civil wars in the dominions to get them back. The entire middle part is shared between them so you're basically choosing which set of advisors you want (Edward's are better), Which leader trait you want (Edward's is better by a long shot, no -50% war support), which Ally you want (Edward's is stronger, though that also means they're harder to betray later so double edged sword I guess), and which wargoals you get (Edward's are better and more numerous). The ONLY real upside with Mosley is that he can form the European Union for some god forsaken reason, so if the Imperial Federation (with the North American Dominion providing America cores as well) isn't enough for you, you can also core France, the Benelux, Italy, and Germany as Mosley which is...way overkill but pretty cool I guess.
@@Kandall05161 apparently Mosley also had the idea to form the European Union irl before it was eventually established.
@@mateiduma646 yeah, it's just weird balance-wise that the only country allowed to form the EU as anything other than a democracy is fascist Brittain, who can already core half the world without the EU. What makes Mosley's EU more stable than Germany's greater German Reich formable that doesn't give cores on anything?
Great video and awesome gameplay as always. But, I do have one question : how do you manage to beat the Reich every time with no anti-tank or anti-air in your divisions ? Every time I try to fight them I get owned even though I have enough supply, anti-tank and anti-air.
Been experimenting with air forces lately. I'm finding 125 or smaller, single mission airwings are best. Seems to give much better results than even the same 125 size with multiple missions, even if the total planes for each mission is lower. 125 on superiority, 125 on air intercept seems to be better than 250 set to both at once, and 125x2 set to both.
50 is ideal imo
why didn't you use naval invasion support for your landings in yugoslavia and france? since the UK has a massive fleet this might have helped enough to overcome the defenses at the ports other than that great video as usual! also really liked the support you gave ukraine!
Hi, i think a really good mod to play is ‘la vittoria è nostra’ it adds a huge focus tree for italy i think it would be fantastic to play in a video
I would love to see you do the Cossack polish tree!
The Bermontian tree is so weak for no good reason, Anastasia's does the same things but better.
I did but got crushed by both Soviets and Germans ☹️
@@gocool_2.0 release Ukraine or Belarus as a puppet as soon as USSR starts to justify, they will lose their justification. I am not sure if the AI is smart enough to re-justify, but if they are then you can just release the other one, not call them into the war, and have a much narrower front to fight on.
@@flickerdart Thank you
Honestly, I'd love to see both the untested, followed a month or two later by the fully tested version.
is it just me or is your voice just like bob ross xD I feel so relaxed when i watch your vids
Mosley, the only evil fascist who wears tight black turtlenecks.
The way you plan your naval invasions hurt my eyes
Putting yourself at a gameplay disadvantage just to throw shade at Putin?
*Common Taureor W*
Personally I’d like to see your runs planned and tested generally. Yet, if you clearly state in the start of the video, that it’s not a planned run, I wouldn’t mind it at all :)
Love to see you upload regardless.
You can also give the USA to Canada and annex them into your empire via imperial conference for cores/factories/pop.
Taureor - Chad Republic
Some other guy that isn't Taureor - Virgin Islands
Such a mean gamer moment
Damn, poland survived a game?
Btw u can use ur puppet’s troops for the decision to keep the puppets
It’s better to watch an imperfect game. Makes you think on the fly.
I am quite sure you can use your subject's divisions to fill those garrisons.
For once I'd love to see you make something other than a rookie trained basic infantry army - part of the fun is industry and making as absurdly powerful divisions as possible, after all!
Hell Yeah new video
How do you do the multi-step manual troop movement? I only know how to send them in a direct path.
thanks
