Imagine you're an Italian soldier in this situation. Your unit? half strength for months because nobody has guns and there's no new recruits from home. Your orders? 'that way'. The enemy? 'everyone'. The navy to get you there? The ships are dirty, broken, burning, and sinking. The sailors are crying that the boss says they can't repair at all because it annoys him. Despite sitting in port for weeks doing naval invasion preparation.

Except there never was food shortage in ZSSR since revolution (not counting artificall famine to subdue kulaks). Zssr was even exporting grain and many other comodities one month before Barbarossa in tons to Germany.

I wouldn't personally watch livestreams, not for HoI4 or any content, it's not my cup of tea. But I'm pretty certain there's quite an amount of people that like that idea. A couple of test live runs could be ok, it doesn't hurt to try.

I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I would adore livestreams from you if they were available in vod form because your voice is so smooth and relaxing so to have it available for hours on end would be such an auditory treat x

I also thought about puppeting Ethiopia on my recent Italy game, but what I found out is that, because you're fascist, your puppet becomes a reichskomissariat, and that type of puppet has a -50% recrutable population for some reason, so you don't get much manpower out of your puppets. You still get some of course, but I think it's just better to annex as a fascist nation, the puppet manpower gets used really fast, so it's less tedious than seeing if your puppet has enough manpower.
The main reasoning behind puppeting Ethiopia is so you can intentionally NOT call them in, allowing you to completely ignore the defense of that region (assuming you also released the nations next to them)
while you get the -50% recruitable population factor, they will have access to the +7% recruitable population and can use higher mobilization laws so you can get more manpower than a democratic or non-aligned, although of course communists still get the most, if you don't call them in the war, if you call them in the war, then sooner or later they will be on all adult serve and scraping the barrel if you consistently steal their manpower.
I imagine it's to simulate how fascist countries tended to uhm... well not be big on equality and the like. So the concept of a massive amount of their army being made up of other peoples cultures isn't their favorite plan.
Also, they can't let those darned puppets build their own army and threaten freedom.

Hey Taureor, been subscribed to your channel since what feels like foreever, and I have been watching your videos a bit less lately. Regarding streqming, I would definitely spend 30min to see what it looks like and eventually stick if I like it. I think your type of content is more suited for live streams although you will probably have to pay a lot of attention on how you handle the chat in order to keep the stream alive and keep people’s attention. I believe people like your channel because of your ingame knowledge as well as willingness to do hard challenges, so keeping that in mind on streams should pay off. Happy to see what others think about that.
P.S: when I say keeping the stream alive I do not mean being a clown or something, but rather making sure that 1 out of 5 setances you say convey an important information thus maintining people’s attention. That is impossible to do for 3-5hrs straight without using the chat to your advantage
I would love to watch a Taureor livestream. I’d like to see you do a completely random game (all countries switched to random focuses) livestream. Would be pretty interesting
I would love seeing livestreams, just to see how you get into the positions you are in most of your videos, which is difficult to see because many important parts are cut out in order to make the videos slimmer (which is totally understandable). I would like to see how you design your templates and when exactly you make changes for example.

Hey taureor! Great vid as always, but one thing I noticed is that you set your airforce to like every mission. From my knowledge (which might be wrong) that actually decreases air wing efficiency and so reduces the effectiveness of your airforce.
Live streams are something I watch if I happen to catch them when they are live, but not something I schedule my day around to make sure I see. I think it would be fun, and I think I would watch the archives if they were available, but I can't promise I would always be there for the actual live stream.

I think I would like to see you live as you often make most of your plans at the start of a run work even if mistakes occurred, and with little consideration to min-maxing. I don't know if I'd watch every single live show, but like any coverage of new content(like the next dlc), or achievements would be worth while I think.
Either way the videos are also still good.

Regarding livestreams, I'd definitely watch them, although it would probably be after the fact (I just can't seem to be able to watch anyone live). Your videos are great and a stream much in the same vein would be very interesting - i.e. it would be like watching a video from you but longer and unedited, a very interesting proposal.

Hi Taureor! I love to watch your videos late at night. Please don’t cram your schedule if livestreams would bother you, the quality of the current format is just perfect. For livestreams, there is problems with timezones and avilability etc. Sending lots of love to you and your son!
If you do start livestreaming hoi4 I would recommend doing it solo, because multiplayer hoi4 is kinda boring to watch live (no offence to anyone who streams multiplayer hoi4)
ohh... if I catch you streaming, i'd definitely come check it out (sounds interesting actually to watch an unedited version of taureor gameplay!) - but not sure if i can hang out during the whole stream.
that's why i like youtube videos - because even if the video is 2-3 hours long i can just watch it in parts - on several days.
so if you do stream and i happen to miss it or not watch all of it, it would be really nice if it can be uploaded on youtube as well!
either way i think it's a really good idea, that's worth giving a shot at least once!

For streaming, while I think the idea is lovely, I'm already submerged by the streamers I follow at the moment, I'll absolutely follow your channel to help it be more visible on the Twitch platform but I'm pretty sure I'll barely have time to watch anything, a ghost viewer so to speak... (still, if a VOD channel pops with that, THAT I'm sure to watch more frequently).

i won’t lie, i probably wouldn’t watch livestreams myself, i almost never watch livestreams, but if it’s something you would like then definitely do it
i think live streaming could be a good idea. Personally, I love a good chill stream for a second monitor, but whether or not I tune in would probably depend on when you stream. I also personally mostly watch streams on twitch, but others might prefer a youtube stream.

You should do thr livestreams. I don't watch twitch, but I do know that it's a more sustainable format than videos here every few weeks. You do testing and the like anyway, so getting paid while you so it is perfect.

One tip I've found while playing Italy is that you can skip the Ethiopian War Logistics (not that useful anyways) focus by releasing Eritrea and Somalia as puppets. Not a huge thing but it helps you get your industry going a bit faster if you do Industrial Effort first.

Try to survive as the soviet union with only 24 divisions. You can do as many planes and puppets as you want, but you can not have more than 24 divisions for the entire game !
He did no Army ussr so only having 24 divs will be easy. You can easily bump those numbers to really good units...

I did an interesting game the other day - no political focuses (could easily be no focuses at all) Hitler's germany. Took over whole world, then did the civil war focus, went democratic, and made the EU. German political tree's fascist branch doesn't give any buffs so it played like normal.
i dont usually show up for livestreams because i dont like.. have the time or awareness and i dont check twitch, BUT if you straemed on youtube, and/or left the vods up or made cut down highlight versions like tommyK i would be super super stoked
Personally I don't watch live streams, but if you were to do them I would happily watch the VODs if you uploaded those somewhere, I think your content would work great for streaming (especially with Hoi4 chat can really help out with remembering mechanics and focus tree stuff, as well as live recommendations for playthroughs) and would love to see it, even if I can't catch it live.

While I absolutely love interacting with you, I think I prefer videos more since timezones exist and live streams will definitely be longer than videos. So if given the option, I would honestly pick videos over live streams

I would watch your livestreams and I'm not saying this as a time waste thing, you live in a very favorable time zone for me and because you create very interesting content. Would live streaming on CZcams be better for you than on twitch because you have an established audience here even if CZcams isn't necessarily the platform for live streams
