I have just decided that I would like to coin the name “The MRVN [Marvin] Effect,” after the units from Titanfall 2. It didn't click until I saw the Defluxor in action, but it makes sense: the Zurks are evolved from bacteria, and the gun's blasting them with UV light, which has a disinfecting quality. I absolutely love the voices of the robots, especially the ones with really deep voices, and B-12. It's such a clever spin on the usual glitchy robot voice to sample normal human voice into it. Like music to my ears.
Wow, this game has a lot of details. Remember how there was one poster about the Earth in Momo's room, which told us about how the Moon reduces the rotational speed of the Earth over time? Yeah, that same concept was seen in those 4 clocks we saw around 29:41. All the clocks were 16 hours long (1 round around the clock = 16 hours)! That means a single day is 32 hours!!
Oh, that's so interesting! I didn't pick up on that at all in my own playthrough and thought the clocks having 16 hrs was just some funky little sci fi detail.
I'm glad someone else noticed that too. It would make sense too with the 2.something billion days in the future. I remember reading something long ago saying that in a million years a day would be 25 hours long so if this is 7 million years later than that could definitely make sense!
@@margodejonghe2027 More specifically, it aids in the memory centers and in stabilizing the metabolic processes (thereby aiding in the absorption of other key nutrients). It's commonly found in fish, and you can buy fish oil if you don't wanna go around eating fish for your whole diet.

jack knocking boxes off shelves and being like "nothing in this one? oh this next one will have something for sure" really sheds light on Cat Mentality
Aww the 4 cats are based off Murtaugh and Riggs, and the studio's in-house cats, Oscar (a furless Sphynx, provided an effective reference for animation) and Jun. So most audible meows cats make towards us are specifically for us humans. Cats try and communicate with us but they don't need to make much noise with each other. "technology has come so far."
I'm DYING
Oh Jack made me cracking the whole video 😂
Jack: "When BB makes any sort of sound, i have to imitate it:"
Me, an average cat owner: "Relatable."
I'm not even a cat owner but anytime any animal makes an interesting sound I just have to respond
@YeaMan If you’re gonna make troll comments for attention, at least use the right page.
Me, another average cat(s) owner: "Extremely relatable"
Yes, this is extremely relatable.
I'm kind of the same with pet rats I had in the past. They're quiet but they make this really cute noise when they sneeze so I always ended up mimicking it when they had little sniffles.
_"every time one of them falls off the edge & dies a horribly violent death the better my day becomes"_
-jack
A true cat
Jack: “Momo, no! I’ll always remember you-“
Also Jack: “Hey, what’s over here?”
That was so funny, I loved it 🥰
Spoiler bruh
Doc is literally just a reference to back to the future, the look, the 1.21 Gigowatts, the being an inventor. Also his son Seaumus is wearing the waistcoat Marty wears in the movie
Plus in Part 2 Marty's dad is killed via timeline hijinks only to get saved at the end. Also kind of references that with how Doc might be dead in the sewers somewhere.
Also the De"flux"or (in reference to the flux capacitor)
It’s a vest lol
I’m so glad I’m not the only person that noticed the 1.21 gigawatts and the doc also the wires look like his hair lol
Also Marty's ancestor in the old west was named Seasmus McFly
It didn't click until I saw the Defluxor in action, but it makes sense: the Zurks are evolved from bacteria, and the gun's blasting them with UV light, which has a disinfecting quality. What's happened here is that a cat (one of the most fastidiously clean and tidy animals on the planet) has been given a _sanitizer gun_ and turned loose on an infection.
But about freezing them as well? Doesn't colder temperatures kill off bacteria too?
Burning the maswell...
Dont forget that zurks are incredibly sensitive to light as seen in the ending
@@spinalicemightbeacat4589 I haven't I'm just thinking it could work
@@Eqha67 No. Colder temperatures just inactivate bacteria and most microorganisms, that's why biologists were able to revive prehistoric microbes trapped in ice.

Thank you!! First thing I thought of was, "Turn around and check the clocks!" haha
Yeah literally four clocks, i was like, jack they are in front of your eyes hahah
When he was checking under the bed I just put my head in my hands. Like bro...
Both shall face the test of time only one may prevail
@Kavetion so your dead too?
Rewatching this series... Damn those animations are on point. The world building, the story building through memories... What an amazing experience it was. Hoping to see more from this studio in the future. Honestly a 11/10 for me. I'm not one for purely story driven games, but this one has a special place in my heart. The lighting, the atmosphere, the music, the personality of the Robots, everything. Purrfection (sorry, not sorry)
"Some might call this junk. But me, I call them treasures." Massive respect for the Skyrim reference.
Later in the game there is also an Arrow to the knee reference too
Jack: At least you can't fall off, the cat just climbs where you tell him to climb.
Me: And yet, this all started by the cat falling off a pipe... I'm still battle scarred by that, bro.
I think he forgot the entire beginning ngl, since he also keeps insisting that the outside is so horrible and unimaginable, but the entire beginning took place outside, didn't it?
@@MiningNatureYT not really. The beginning takes place between the walls. The only thing the beginning tells us is that the sky is still blue with white clouds. It could be still have been a desolate landscape right on the other side of the wall for all we know for sure.
He obviously means when you are controlling the cat outside a cutscene. Idk if you have played other platformers, you need to make a jump and not click on a location to jump too. The former will make you more likely to die from falling.
I like that the “light in the darkness” was a neon rainbow light, the same as Momo’s face, and Seamus’ hat is a dull rainbow, which becomes shinier after he gets hope of seeing his Outsider father again
I never noticed his hat.
B12 also says earlier in the game that Neon lights gave the people hope when they were oppressed.
Gay hope! Yay!!
Sounds gay I’m in lol.
Aren’t I just very oblivious-
Jack: “ I’m such a sucker for …”
Me: “Lighting.”
Jacks always a sucker for lighting 😂❤
17:39 that really how it is with cat names. We went from calling my cat Azul to Osmosis Jones in like a week
“A great star sent its light down on earth and nourished our forefathers”
Everyone else: ”Ahaha, that’s the sun.”
Jack: “Ah, a meteor.”
I noticed that - i think he probably forgot that the sun is a star too in the moment ahah
@Lucas Garcia who hurt you kid?
@Lucas Garcia best thing is I doubt this is a bot lol
@Lucas Garcia plus this person doesn't make banger content they have one video on their channel lol
@Kavetion hello again
Nothing matches the wholesomeness of this series, it’s easily the most chill game Jack has played in a long time.
@YeaMan bot didn't spell page correctly
Just some guy without a mustache makes a comment it doesn't have over 40 replies saying "How are you everywhere" this is disappointing

Okay I meant something other than bots commenting
“Chill” *looks at the part where Seán dies*
“you don’t have any neosporin in that bag do you”
*cat licks wound*
“never mind. i create my own.”
Love this game because all the robots are just telling the cat things like he understands, and trust him entirely with everything
Fun fact: If you imitate your cat's meow back to them, they see it as you being affectionate with them/telling them you appreciate/love them
is there proof it's really the case or it's unverified ?
Same if you do the slow blink back to them.
@@overthinker6446
Unfortunately, no, I've done a lot of looking and have personally been unable to find a single source that affirms this.
There's actually more evidence pointing to the *exact opposite,* as cats communicate _very differently_ with people than they do with other cats.
^ The slow blink, however, has some actual credibility behind it.
I dunno if it's true, but my cats are always comforted if I call back to them if they do their little lonely call when my fiancee leaves. one of them will bolt for me and pounce in my lap purring and yowing if I call her when she cries
so cute!!!! thank you!

“If there’s one thing good about the apocalypse, it’s that the kids are gone” is probably the most relatable thing to me that I have ever heard from Sean 🤣
I love how Jack really says its a “cute cat game” when the main character is cat terminator and half of the video is him exploding zurks 😂
me and my girlfriend started playing this game today and we found out if you hold the direction of a place you can jump to, the cat does the lil pitter patter thing when they think about jumping on something.
This is amazing information and I really hope Sean sees it! We NEED to see the wiggle
1:01:56
It's amazing how long it took for Jack to realize what was happening.
Bursted all the eggs, then let the cat get swarmed for a good second and THEN he screamed and ran away.
it’s been 5-8 years since I’ve watched this channel consistently,, coming back now I gotta say I really appreciate this content, it calms me down on my sick days

He instantly went to being really sad about leaving Momo to be instantly happy to see something he never seen before and then he just said bye Momo really happily
Been sick all week; glad you played this on here; helped keep my mind off things.

Dog owners also imitate their dog's yawns and etc, especially big dog owners
Same, man! Hope you feel better soon man, from one sick person to another!

I know I'm a little late, but in case you're still wondering, vitamin B12 is needed to form red blood cells and DNA, it also binds protein in the food we eat. I've also seen it give energy to people.
1:13:08 the moment I’ve been waiting for, when he sees the eyes the reaction is priceless
The "oooh big stretch" is just adorable. I say it every single time my cat stretches, yawns or jumps I just find it very cute
This game is so much more than a cat game. The environments are absolutely phenomenal and soo pretty and original

I absolutely love the voices of the robots, especially the ones with really deep voices, and B-12. It's such a clever spin on the usual glitchy robot voice to sample normal human voice into it. Like music to my ears.
"If there is one thing good about the apocalypse is that the children are gone."
AMEN!!
@@kennyroberson5726 ikr! They really were passionate about creating this game

jack knocking boxes off shelves and being like "nothing in this one? oh this next one will have something for sure" really sheds light on Cat Mentality
i love how sean totally nailed the cat personality like-- he actually is one lmao
Aww the 4 cats are based off Murtaugh and Riggs, and the studio's in-house cats, Oscar (a furless Sphynx, provided an effective reference for animation) and Jun. Murtaugh, a former stray cat found under a car in Montpellier, was the primary inspiration for the protagonist! Nice! Also the Zerks were inspired by bedbugs! Also the walled in city is based off the look of the Kowloon Walled City of China. This is all from the Wiki but I just summarized it here as I thought all this was really cool! This game and the story behind it rocks! The visuals amazing! The lighting award-winning! And Sean, priceless!

So most audible meows cats make towards us are specifically for us humans. Cats try and communicate with us but they don't need to make much noise with each other. The reason this pretty kitty makes noises that are different from your cat is probably because they've never encountered humans (aka creatures that use verbal communication) So when you respond to your kitty's little meows that kinda encourages them, even tho it makes no sense to them lol.
Cats are so freaking smart man I love them
