    Thank you so very much Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for all these years of leading Singapore to where we (Singaporeans) are tremendously grateful for. Singapore is now on the world map as the best city to live in, if not one of the best. As a 74 year-old true blue Singaporean, i salute you for your incredible leadership that leads us to where we call home - truly home. 🎉🎉🎉 God bless you abundantly with good health for many years and always.

    I am grateful that when I wake up in the mornings, I turn on the tap and I have clean water. I walk out of my home and I have the convenience of our MRT and bus service to go anywhere I want. I can walk in the streets without fear of being mugged, even at night when I have to work OT. I am grateful to be a Singaporean. Thank you Mr Lee!

    Singapore politics work because the leader is willing to give up his seat and pass it on to the younger generation, unlike so many countries. We are indeed very fortunate. A security guard once told me that he rather work in a top notch condominium occupied by very rich people than working in an ordinary condo whose tenants are those who upgraded from HDB. Why? because these upgraders are usually very rude and snobbish with a sense of entitlement.
    This reminded me of those educated young adults who want a change of government, just for the change of government. They felt entitled to change government as they see fit without realizing the consequences if someone not as dignified takes over. PAP is not perfect. But where can you find a perfect government in the world?

    • @anglo-saxonconnor817
      @anglo-saxonconnor817 Před měsícem +1

      People want a change of government because pap is known for working for their interests and the interests of specific demographic groups so those who are under this umbrella group will not see the problem of living under pap rule because the policies don't hurt them. It is not because people want to change pap simply for the sake of change. What is considered dignified to you can be viewed as cruel and shameless to others. It is all both sides of the same coin.
      You do realise pap takes from the people in order to run and operate the country right? The point is who are pap fond of taking the most from and giving the least back all the time.
      Hey I'm rich so if I were to simply live by myself and not give a care for others I too cannot see a problem with pap but if we look at how the suffering mass feels about pap then it's a whole different story. It is all about perspective and how reality touches and affects different socio demographic groups differently.
      Face it pap has grown weak in being able to take everyone forward compared to its founding days and have also grown way richer than when they first started out. You can't stop people who want pap to go away.

      @@anglo-saxonconnor817 , Of course I can’t, only the voters can.
      I make it clear. PAP is not perfect, they have many faults. But currently, i see no opposition can come up with a better solutions than the PAP.
      The world is ever changing. One wrong move may means we cannot walk back the clock. Look at all the countries around us. Look at all the politicians outside Singapore. It’s a very scary world. The PAP works only for themselves? Look at Malaysia, look at Russia, look at Maynmar, and South Korea. The people don't stand a chance. Why are so many Malaysians coming to Singapore everyday. Their countries is so much bigger than ours.
      Yes, I make it clear, PAP is not perfect. But right now, I can’t find any alternative. There are people who may have better ideas than PAP, but they are not standing up. Running a country is not like running a business. One of the biggest faults of PAP is to raise the prices of HDB. The other was streaming and ranking of schools That were the greatest mistake they made. One can turn around but the other cannot. But beyond that, they have tried their best to balance many factors to keep this small island together.
      If you are rich and have better ideas than PAP, contribute. Talk it out. Let them know your thoughts. Try, who knows? They may listen.

    • @anglo-saxonconnor817
      @anglo-saxonconnor817 Před měsícem

      They can't listen. There are two to three things that prevent them from listening and change.
      Anything that touches their cake they will not hear of it.
      They use a system of renewal and expiry as well as speculating to manage things in the country. It gives them comfort and security knowing how to simply use renewal and expiry in systems they can predict,control and adjust things. Speculating increase money and also provides jobs to agents. If the bubble burst they won't know where to place this displaced group either.
      Pride. They always see themselves being able to steer and come out with the best solutions and they will browbeat everyone they come across to believe in what they believe.

    • @64ytb
      @64ytb Před měsícem

      @@anglo-saxonconnor817 , If the PAP is known for working for themselves, have you asked why are so many foreigners who have travelled and lived in so many countries kept praising our government? Are they out of their minds?
      Yes, they do say one thing in common. Singapore is very expensive. But why do they still chose to settled down in Singapore? They could have chosen to live in neighboring countries like Malaysia or Vietnam or Thailand, why still want to stay in Singapore? Yes, there were those who left Singapore because of the costs of living. But why? Because most of the time, they have families and school going children. They cannot afford Singapore, even though they like it here. But otherwise, many still want to stay.
      Singapore is not cheap. Yes, that’s true. But there are ways around it. msut you be married? Is having a family a want or a need? If you cnnot have a family, then don;’t. Simple as that. If you still want to get married, then don't have kids. Or have only one. Don’t dig a big hole which you cannot get out of, later. Know Thy self. Do you need the latest iPhone? Redefine needs from wants. Look at the pros from the cons.
      I have seen too many suffocating men and women out there struggling to survive.
      Why do you only want to listen to a certain group of locals and drown out those foreigners?
      Don’t live in your own well, look beyond. Look at Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, go and stay there for a while. Experience life outside Singapore.
      Singapore is a safe haven but not a paradise. Period. If you want a paradise go to Bali. A young retired lawyer, found her paradise in Bali with her husband. Now living as a you tuber and surfing master.

    Im proud to be a Singaporean.
    This is my opinion.
    Why Singapore succeed?
    Because God bless our country.
    Why?
    Because, our leaders rooted prime attitudes to the citizens:( in random order) :
    1. We respect each other religion, cultures and colours.
    2. We uphold discipline, cleanlines, meritocracy.
    3. We are pragmatic, yet generous, warmth and firm.
    4. We are not extreme nor loose, but in between, modest.
    5 We are small but big hearts.
    6. We are rational, not emotional.
    7. We don't highlighted our differences, but our similarities.
    8. Our differences does not apart us, but unite us because we see differences as strength.
    9. Our visions are far, our mission are noble.
    10. We chosed the right leaders, i.e., generally honest, kind hearted. Clarity in their minds. They knew, God sees clearly what's in their hearts and minds.
    *There are more but these 10 are the least.
    *All these 10 does not contradict the holy scripture but complement it, and again that's the reason we are blessed.

    Lee is already in his 70s, and yet after stepping down as PM, he still wants to be the sm of the land, what's the use?
    Isn't it already obvious to alot of people that Singapore is not actually a 'people democracy' or a 'freedom' country.
