Burn A Card

How, when, and why to burn a card in Texas Holdem dealing.
You burn a card before you deal the flop, the turn, and the river. To burn a card, simply tap the table to inform the players (and the eye in the sky at the casino) that you are about to burn a card. Then take the first card off the top of the deck and place one corner of that card underneath the chips in the pot, face down. Nobody should be able to see the burn card. Proceed to then deal whichever street you are on. Place each new burn card under the previous burn card. If you deal a complete hand through the River you will have 3 burn cards.
