    Gateron Smoothie. Best switch I've ever used by faaaaaaar. Made me wanna throw my scratchy ass CJ's in the garbage and they were more than twice the price!!! I'm blown the F away. Perfect lubing, and I've lubed thousands of switches. In fact the stock lubing is so daam good, that if I even attempt to lube them, I could only see myself making it worse. I like a lighter spring, and these hit the absolute bullseye for me. Wow, just wow.

      @@xxcridonxx7614 Yes. Ink housings don't even compare to full pom IMO, and they're on the heavier side for my personal preference. In fact, the Smoothie has literally made question my whole perspective on keyboard switches. There's no such thing as a budget switch to me anymore, especially when the cheapest switches I ever bought are also the best switches I ever used lol.

    • @LazyGarbage
      @LazyGarbage Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yeah, HMX switches sounded nearly identical to each other except probably Canglan v2s, but so are the countless recolors of the old-gen switches. BSUN Roselle, on the other hand, has a fuller and deeper sound signature (with a bit of audible scratch) and is very smooth out of the box. You're probably tired of these long-pole switches, and so am I HAHA. but we're talking about smoothness here, not sound.

      1000%. they're the best switch I've ever tried. And I've tried milky yellow pros, CJs , durock creamy yellow, ink blacks and even aqua kings.... Smoothies are in a league of their own to me.and it's the only switch with an opaque housing that doesn't completely destroy RGB. The price is the most mind blowingly thing of all. It actually makes me question the entire switch market now, if these switches can be this good and be this cheap.

    The Sea Glass may be what I'm been searching for... one of my favorite switches has been handlubed Moyu Studios Hoshizoras but JWK's stems and springs were a bit wobbly and pinged without additional lubing.
    The reason why they've started falling out of favor for me is the large amount of stem wobble. While they glide like hot melted butter thanks to that P3 stem (a special UHMWPE blend) in a milky housing so they have a nice creamy midrange sound. They definitely don't feel like the 62g bottom out they claim as you stated.
    I've switched them out of Gateron Smoothies which for my batch are surprisingly tight and well lubed. They aren't the butter smooth the Hoshis are but definitely smoother than even BSun Sunsets/Bolsa Lagunas.
    Are the Sea Glass more in line with newer switches in terms of wobble? I'm hoping they're an updated version of the Hoshis.

  • @d_fens

    Aqua Kings are the biggest disappointment in my entire mechanical keyboard journey. In their stock state, half of my 90pc batch was unusable due to extreme scratchiness. I re lubed them all and I managed to salvage roughly half of the most scratchy ones. The rest is beyond rescue. They are so tight, that the stem rubs against top housing. Overrated switch to say the least. Even stock NK Creams were WAY batter. WS Morandis eat Aqua kings for breakfast in terms of smoothness...

    Hi, after seeing ur videos on best linear switches I've bought the aqua king v3s. But they're very scratchy and after heavy lubing, like 30% of them still stay super scratchy and not smooth... Is there any fixes to this?

    • @huunhanle3809
      @huunhanle3809 Před 5 měsíci

      The thing about Aqua King is that it has very minimal stem wobble due to the super tight housing + stem, heavy lubing will only contribute to that tightness which will lead to the switch being sluggish and still somewhat maintain the scratch, as there is no space for the stem to operate up and down.
      I would recommend you to clean and re-lube them again, but with a very light amount this time.
