      Would recommend a 4mm pencil lead holder instead for picking up switch stems. It holds it more sturdy with better grip.

    "Real" names for Stem Holders:
    *Jeweler's Claw* - what Taeha has here. Thin claws.
    *4.0mm mechanical pencil* - also sold as a "stem picker" by some keeb vendors - I prefer these because they cover the cross-mount.

    This video helped me a ton when I finally built my first mechanical keyboard on stream. I just did not expect it to take 5 hours to lube 40 switches! Thank goodness my board was a 40% only or else I would have cried.

    My Kailh Speed Coppers are literally a completely different switch after I lubed them. My god does it make a world of difference. It's an absolute pain in the groin and so time consuming but the end result is OH SO AMAZING! Thank you for the top notch editing and production. Pure gold!

      @@frozennachos556 I just used some random oil I had (not for cooking), dabbed the outside of the stem, and then worked in the oil. This seems to have helped a ton as these switches are about a decade old. I think the videos technique is way better, but this method seemingly got me at least halfway there. It's nice seeing as Taeha's method, though thorough, takes forever.
      I'll report back if this causes any issues.

    I have used this technique to lube my Gazzew Boba U4T with Tribosys 3203 lube. They are tactile switches so I decided not to lube the leaf or the legs at all. They feel and sound amazing! Thanks for the tutorial

    This might get buried in the comment but the stem holder linked is not actually SE and the product that arrived was empty. Talked to amazon about it ,but it seems to be a known issue to the actual SE people. AKA Don't get the stem holder linked since they have a no refund policy and it's most likely fake.

      it’s not recommended, it doesn’t reach all of the parts of the switch, and it might just turn your keyboard into a clicky brick.

      @@bigorange1997 Depending on the lube and housing material, the excess amounts will be pushed away from the points of contact over extended use. Some lubes/materials allow for this to happen more quickly than others, but I would consider using them for a week or two before you throw in the towel and attempt lube correction.

    I have never felt a keeb that isnt lubed by me, so for all I know, all of my switches could be overlubed or underlubed

      its pretty rare for "underlube to be an issue, as for overlube it generally gets sorted out over time as you use the switch

    Much appreciated! I learned that I have been lubing springs "incorrectly" over the last year, as I thought you needed to coat the entire length of the spring. I also had been lubing the entire pole of the stem and this probably was leading to some over lubing -_-

    Damn no way I can measure the ammount of lube by eye. I just stick my brush in the lube, brush it against the container until most of it is off and then start lubing.
