- Mike Glover spent 18-years in the US Army and then spent time as a government contractor for OGA. He served as a SGM in Special Forces and deployed multiple times to combat theaters.
Watch as he reacts to the video and breaks down how each of them acts and shares what he might do differently based on his CQB experience in the situation at hand. He and Fieldcraft Survival Director of Media Austin Lester discuss the details of the home invasion video and how you can be more prepared for a situation like this if it happens in your own home.
Mike is the Founder and CEO of Fieldcraft Survival, a company he founded to help educate, train, and equip the everyday citizen for the worst-case scenario.

The first thing I was taught as an infantryman was violence of action, if you're going to engage, engage with hate and discontent. She nailed that part.
That's it right there.
Half-measures have consequences.
Full send has consequences too, but you're more likely to have the chance to live with them.
@@raifsevrence I learned this from snowboarding and racing cars. Hesitating get you hurt or killed.
I'm not even part of the infantry and that's sound fuckin advice. If you're gonna commit violence? Make it swift, accurate, and bloody.
It's a tactic my aunt taught me about CQB, its boiled down to 3 things and I'm pretty sure its 1 speed (doesn't means go fast but judge the situation) 2 maintain momentum and agression (dont give ground unless necessary and take what your enemy gives you) and 3 your brain is your most dangerous weapon so use it
She nailed that part lmaoooooooo
“Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face” - Mike Tyson
“Everyone has a plan until a round goes past them.” - also 100% true’
or through them
The FIBSA factor
It is the biggest high you ever get. Don't let anyone fool ya.
"No plan survives contact with the enemy.”
through them.
I got into an argument with one of my friends once who didn't talk to me for a month because I told her that I would absolutely shoot an intruder. She said "You would kill someone over stuff? You would take a life over things?" I said "No. But I would to save myself or family. That person has already thought about what they're going to do if someone is home. And the fact they still came in means they're more than likely willing to take my life. So yes. I would take a life to protect myself and my family."
Cut them off
Sounds like your friend is an idiot. She has a murder victims mentality. Someone breaks into my home and they're dead. And I won't lose a wink of sleep over it.
You don't even have to justify that far man. Someone stealing your stuff, is stealing months, weeks, years, of your hard work to get that stuff. Killing someone stops a future, robbing them invalidates large chunks of their past. Thieves and murderers are one in the same to me.
@@heckingoodboy634
They have been treated the same all throughout history. It's only recently that a thief was downgraded on the crime severity scale. They even hung horse thieves as little as 140 years ago. In medieval times you would get "The Wheel" or "The Breaking Wheel" for stealing. (Check that shit out. Shooting someone is little red riding hood child's play compared to that shit)
Also, I would 100% kill someone over MY things. This is my house. You break in it's war.
The first time I had a gun pointed at me was during my job as a pizza delivery boy at age 19. It was already at some apartments known for crime & it was a small stub nose 38 revolver under a bandanna.
I gave him the money & also purposely some free large pizza coupons that were numbered & were on file.
So even in that situation I was already doing the most I can to at least get this guy arrested.
Sure enough his girlfriend used the stolen coupon we called the police and they got her and him in the parking waiting for their order which was like 3 days after he robbed me.
Ha! Nice
Just stumbled across this a year later.
Still impressed enough with your poise, and decisive thinking to leave a “kudos to you”.
Great work!
your robber had pizza for brains
Y’all must serve damn good pizza 2x in one week
Big brain move, my guy
I taught my wife very similar tactic.
Explained that when going after the bad guy in your house , you forfit a tactical advantage.
Lock the bedroom door, take a concealed position with line of sight on the door.
IF that door breaks open, then shoot when they enter .
Nothing in the house is worth dying for. Things can be replaced. Breaking into a locked bedroom also establishes the bad guy's intent to do harm.
Just my opinion
I agree same here, we have our plan set for her and my child should something happen. Insurance can recoup everything but your life.
I think breaking into a locked house with a weapon also establishes the bad guy's intent to do harm...
It worked for her…just sayin. Mike was right…she WAS rooftop.
Thats definitely true warrior poet has a video on breaching and how much advantage you have from an ambush like that but the thing is that you might not be able to retreat from a bedroom if you run out of ammo for example
Only time otherwise is when you live with people who can't defend themselves if there's a threat. If something goes bump in the night I have to check it out to make sure my loved ones are safe. Only saving grace is if anyone is in the house the dogs will turn the corner and get their attention before I do.
“I’m sitting on the couch with a carbine.” Priceless.

I laughed way too hard at that comment. 😂🤣😂🤣
At 4am
Atleast he had pants on "asuming" not like having a naked man with a gun cominng at you with a cigar hanging out of his mouth.
I remember a lady who owned a restaurant & had to deal with a similar situation a couple times. She grew up tough in Vietnam during the war & wasn’t afraid of anything. Each time she overwhelmed gun-wielding attackers with a hammer & forward momentum. The PD would routinely ask her to not engage attackers with a hammer. I respected her ferocity.
Cops: pls don't attack gun wielding criminals with a hammer
Badass lady: no
Cops: understandable, have a nice day
This is the exact reason why I love Vietnamese women 😂
I pray to God no one ever breaks into my house. This looks super stressful and traumatic for everyone involved. I hope that lady’s ok mentally after this.
Praying won't stop it. Big trained to alert dog is a good barrier and preventive first step. Weapon training and stay in good physical condition is your best bet.
A instructor once told me "When the decision is made to fight and you flip that internal switch, you destroy the threat with overwhelming violence." Man, that woman for us civilian folk is a bad mother trucker. Good on her.

Leave that state an don't vote like people there an ruin your new state too
Three armed 'thieves' not concealing their identity leads me to the conclusion...they weren't thieves. They knew a petite woman was inside the residence and had 'other things on their mind'.

That's not what that is. Duty to retreat only applies when one can be completely safe in retreating. Attackers with guns would render that totally moot.
