- I have honestly fallen in love with this rod and It has blown my expectations out of the water. Daiwa is doing stuff right in this budget line!!

I think the XT uses the same blank as the Daiwa Rebellion with half the price. Sure Rebellion has better components but the sensitivity is the same. Its a no brainer. Bought 2 and loving them
I also bought the 7 foot medium/fast XT spinning rod last season and was blown away by what I got for the money. Everyone that I've let use it for a few casts says the same thing - this rod is so light! And it looks really good too.
I have the XT in a 7' 2pc med/fast with a 2500 Tatula LT MQ on it.
Love this setup.
Appreciate the review!
I have the same exact rod 7' Daiwa Tatula XT medium/fast spin rod. At 3.5oz of a rod with the x45 bias, crossed braided X high modules blank and a complete fuji components, is truly hard to beat for the price. With other brands, something is always missing at this price point. Daiwa just dumped it all in like they got beef with Shimano😂 I love throwing weightless plastics with this rod. Very sensitive with quality braided lines. Pair it with a 2500 Daiwa tatula LT or a Ballistic LT and you're off fishing the world. I am a tackle junkie with over 30 new reels and over new 50 rods.
I have the Tatula 7' med/fast 2pc with a 2500 Tatula LT MQ reel on it.
Fantastic setup.
Great review brother. I was looking at the same exact rod lineups and you have provided tangible reasons for why for you, the tatula was better than the other rods. Some larger channels don't actually provide any reasons as to why they recommend a rod over another.. Tactical... Bassin cough cough
I definitely got turned onto Daiwa by Debos fishing and now have converted most of my gear to them.
I am very impressed.
Awesome review. I have a ML spinning rod, been dropshotting here in AZ killing Large Mouth.
Daiwa gang 💪
Get you a zero adjust reel 👌
I don't think you can beat the Tatula line of rods. I like the Cork versions, they have the same "SVF" blank as the Elite series but with lower end Fazlite guides. I have the 6'-8" and the 7'-3" spinning models. They have all the quality components I want at a good price. :) The Daiwa Rebellion is a step up and include "SIC" guides but a little more pricey.
I was looking at the Bass X on sale at Bass Pro. But, the Diawa rods are in a WHOLE other class!! The Tatula XT 7'4" heavy frogging rod NOTHING can touch it in this price point. NOTHING!!
I use tatula reels, I don’t have any tatula rods yet, but I will try them, I just got 2 shimano curado rods medium with cork handles, thank you buddy
After using this I’m definitely going to get a couple reels and rods from them also. I was really looking at a tatula lt before I went with my vanford so I really would like to scoop one up now and compare them head to head. I don’t know why it has taken me this long to try out a Daiwa product but I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
What reel do you have on this rod?
So why are we liking the cork grips more…? Is it really worth the 50$ difference on the bait caster rods …?
If you step up to the 150 dollar tatula you are getting the same blank that the tatula elite comes with. You essentially get a Tatula Elite with a cork grip white a slightly different guid train when you spend the extra 50
@@redclayoutdoors so I asked why is cork better ? “Slightly different guide train” …..?
@@efishnseetv2082 you get the same blank that’s they use for the Tatula elite rods
@@redclayoutdoors oh ya I get whatcha mean now mb…
The foam grips and micro guides were BIG reasons to say no to this. Had they stuck with cork and used open guides... this rod would be a staple on most every lineup.
