- MIDI Learn in VCV Rack is very easy with the MIDI Map module, but what if you want to have more control over your CC values? Well, that's where the MIDI CC to CV module comes into play!

I use a FaderFox EC4 which lets you name the controls you are mapping. Totally transformed my patching and playing!

Yes I've got another video about that, using midi loopback on Windows or a virtual IAC MIDI bus on Mac. The paid version of VCV works as a plugin.
Help, i can map the knobs on my Akai MPK miniplus to VCV abso fine, however there is no gradual control. When turning knob, it either goes full on or full off, anyone had this problem?
Maybe it's set up as toggle switch? I'm not familiar with that particular controller but usually you get an editor to change encoder values.
@@optoproductions yeah i sussed it out. The default program on the Akai MPK miniplus is set to MPC. I changed the program mode to Ableton Live (even though i don't have Ableton) to see if it would change how the values on the knobs acted, and HEYPRESTO it worked. Thought i'd share in case anyone else having same issue. Thank you for replying

What do you mean? I've got some other video's on my channel about connecting your DAW to VCV Rack. If you want to play MIDI notes with a keyboard just use the MIDI to CV module.

if your controller has pads they can also be bound to work as triggers!
