  • The texture synthesizer is the VCV Rack version of Mutable Instruments' Clouds. This is one of my most used modules as you can create all kinds of sounds from simple delays to granular stutters and shimmery textures.

Thank you for another excellent tutorial. I'm new to modular and work exclusively in VCV rack at the moment. These videos exploring different modules are of great value to me, as I enjoy hours of creativity expanding from a modules tutorial - Clouds is a wonderful module to play with. I also love that you acknowledge Omro Cohen, as I'm enjoying his slightly more advanced videos too...
    Great work, love the channel.

I was exploring Elements and so I would ask for that, but than I was looking at the list and the two I know nothing about are Streams and Warps. But these modules are so fantastic that anything you do with Mutable or Audible is always welcomed. I guess all, liquid filter the quad vca must have interesting secrets too. Thanks for the work.

Thank you very much for these tutorials. I certainly like the in-depth tutorials providing a greater understanding of the features along with the potential of these modules. Looking forward to more vids on add'l modules. To make sure I understood the "Blend input" (from LFO on your example), it will only control the ACTIVE selected blend option (1 thru 4)?

Thanks, glad to hear that! Yes, you're right about the blend input, the cv input only controls the currently selected mode.

Nice tutorial, it's my next class, I like it because of the useful things you say because of the complexity of these (Mutable) modules, by the way I'm still hoping for you to get down on "Warps" and "Streams" (just kidding). Keep it up.

Awesome, that's good to hear. Warps will be my next video 😃

Isn't there a law on only using Clouds with Rings? 😉
I've got back into Clouds recently, using it with guitar. It's a shame you can't have a longer buffer with the highest quality setting. Obviously it's a direct port of the hardware, but with the software version it could easily be much longer. I find the lo-fi modes really hissy and annoying!

Yeah lol it should be 😄 I agree, they can easily expand the module with a larger buffer size, but they probably want it to be compatible woth hardware as much as possible. I believe Beads has some better sounding modes for this, but it will probably take a while for that to get ported.

@@optoproductions yeah Beads would be amazing if we ever get that in VCV!
