This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera written in 1976 by Michel Berger (French) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and was immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne. The theme of the song is depression and the desire for suicide and, in this 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholic interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then the falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to overcome a long of despair and need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who departed this world!

Hi, Dimash is so good at his art, he's so perfect, but he's very self-critical, and he doesn't think he's the best. That is on the one hand, because of how he is as a human being, humble, and on the other hand, the infinite love that he has for his family, and his land. He knows the hard work he has taken to get to where he is, and he knows the unconditional support of his parents. They are a reference for him, and for that, he asks. S.0.S perfection ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Dimash is both very confident & very critical of himself. He goes on stage in the certainty that he can do absolutely ANYTHING with his voice. He just drops into the zone & out comes a miracle. To the point where some people think he has no emotion, just perfection. This is because it's hard to conceive of an emotional performance that still reaches a next level. Even when we see him here truly opening a vein AND doing the impossible, people say Dimash 'is never in the moment' 🙄. Others call him an alien because of this. But we know that he reaches this level by being his own worst critic. He even watches reaction videos like this, to see if some other professional catches out an imperfection that he missed! I'm not making it up, it was in an interview lol. So yes, you're very right. He's just as human & sometimes overly critical as any other performer. But he makes that process serve his talent, not hinder it. And there is a lot anyone can learn from this, whether you're a singer or not ❤️
