Wow the portrait of the black woman is absolutely divine. So beautiful the skin is beautiful.
I was just thinking! So gorgeous
I often find that going back to a piece after a break from staring at its flaws I can see the whole again and I'll like it much more. And personally I do enjoy listening to people explain the thought process behind a piece and hearing about what wasn't planned but produced results the artist enjoys and things like that. I think it's good to analyse your own work once it's finished to find things you like about the real piece rather than only comparing it to the version you have in your head
Well Said !!!
No no your commentary is not at all like not even 0.001% offputting for me it even makes the video better and i love to hear ur thoughts, difficulties you had nice things everything you say and i really like your voice as well
Not only do I love your paintings and your tutorials, but I also really enjoy your commentary. It's always concise, interesting and informative. I really like that you don't waffle on, and I actually look forward to hearing what you have to say. Keep it up and please don't change 👍🙂
Your comment makes me so happy! I've been struggling to get back into uploading and comments like this really inspire me to share my videos on youtube again
The photo is a still from the Netflix show "Hollywood." Harrier plays an actress and this is one of her glamour shots :)
Yes I thought so! beautiful scene and beautiful painting of it
I really admire how you were able to communicate different textures in the end result; the fur throw looks like fur and the dress looks metallic and the skin looks like skin. That's a big challenge for me, anyway.
The skin is sooo smooth ❤️
One of the things that is most refreshing about you is that you share your struggles and challenges- I don't know many other artists who are as transparent about those things. You are just so real, and it really helps me when I struggle too!
I think many artist feel hesitate to talk about their failures especially because of the fear or receiving some sort of hate comments or judgements but I think nowadays many artist are being more open and honest about their struggles as an artist
I love how radiant her face looks with the shading and color shapes. Honestly, I didn’t recognize her in the thumbnail, despite her extremely iconic face in photographs and movies, but I still think the painting is so beautiful that it still caught my eye.
I really like this piece, I like the red. She is stunning
the way you apply paint is so satisfying 😭💞💞 the colours are always perfect
fiya
I love it. I wish you shared your reference photos though, I think that would be cool to see.
It’s in the description
Stunning. And I love the commentary. It's great to dive into the mind of the artist.
i absolutely love her character in hollywood! this is gorgeous
I am in love with your voice and your filmography. It is all so beautiful. Very calming and pure feeling, it makes me want to do better.
This video is relaxing and comforting. Love the ending put to it, very special to your patrons...
Oh my goodness would you consider releasing this as a print? I’d be first in line to purchase!
Waiting for this! I love how the shoulder shines through in her pose 💕
Hamrib, you're such a teacher for me, i have learned to love art and try my hard to make it work with shades and contrasts. thank you :)
Wow, I like how real the jungle looks. I love the way to draw like this
I'm not really an art CZcamsr (I've posted only like 2 videos) but I do record my process more often and I really love watching it back (on mute as well haha). The process is just incredibly soothing to watch 😊
Ok, I'm sorry but you are AMAZING! Not only this painting is awesome, but some of the other paintings in your book in the first 14 sec of the video are fantastic.
I love watching a piece come together. I was obsessed with watching process videos on CZcams, so I finally started my own channel, and I find that I watch my own videos a lot. It is easy to be so wrapped up in the project that you miss the moments when it all comes together. I love going back and pinpointing those key choices that were made. I definitely feel like there is a lot of growth that can happen from rewatching my own work, and of course others. It also can be a confidence boost when I watch a video of my own work that I feel like turned out really well.
I especially love your videos *because* of the commentary you add. I learn so much from your thought process in selecting colors, correcting mistakes, and setting a composition. Thank you for sharing your stunning art. And *thank you* for sharing the internal thoughts you had as the art was made.
I love your videos and your commentary. They are very relaxing. I usually just throw videos in the background while I draw but with your videos I find myself mesmerized and watch the whole video.
I'm in love with the way you painted the skin!!! Ahhhh
I think the large earring is a good composition choice. I like it subtle, like you did. The earring is an element that "points" to the sitter's face. If it were too bright, it would distract too much. I think another way to accomplish this would be to make it a bit more subdued by using a bit of yellow ochre and white as opposed to red. Lots of options here.
I think sketchbooks, paints, pencils and kneedable ereasers are always a good investment for any artist. Wetter you are a biginner or a pro. These are the things i always have whit me. There are my to go paint and sketch suplies. I use watercolour sketchbooks, black drawing pencils, kneedable ereasers from faber castel, linseed oil, water, gesso primer for acrylic paint and oil paint,my watercolour tubes,my oil tubes and my many many many many brushes 🤣i can,t live whitout these things. The can take my tv but not my painting suplies 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🫶🏾👋🏾👍🏾i love this painting😊 i see you in you,re next painting video HamRib Art 👍🏾👋🏾🫶🏾🖐🏾😁
I think not enjoying the piece throughout the process is something a lot of artists deal with. I try to view it as me studying my work for the next time. I will legit just stare at a piece for an extended period of time going over every detail and analyzing how I feel about it. Me viewing it as a part of the process and a necessary step really helps alleviate the stress/anxiety that can sometimes come while I’m hyper focusing on everything. Loved the painting!!! 💜
Absolutely beautiful!
This is such a relaxing enjoyable video. I love the Etchr sketchbooks--really great quality, and I especially love mine for gouache. Seeing how you paint the skin and hair is so helpful! Thank you for the real time footage and process explanation!
your commentary isn't off putting at all! i really enjoy the look into your process as well as your flow of thoughts
also this painting is gorgeous
Wow, absolutely gorgeous and I found your commentary and the music so relaxing to listen to as I watched the painting process.
Waiting!!! Gosh! Another beautiful painting😍 can't wait to watch this while painting😊
Can’t wait ❤️
Thank you, Jane!!!
Your artwork is beautiful there’s no need to even think that you’re rationalizing liking it, it’s very strong!
You are so great! Learning so much and love your commentary!
she looks so regal 😀
allergies have been horrible this year, so many people i know who have been fine previously are suffering too
You're commentary and rationale are very welcome and insightful. That being said, your skill is great enough to have an asmr type video where people just watch you paint. Kudos all around!
Wow every single time wow amazing😱👍🏽😁
Beautiful piece of art. Love both the visual and the musical artistry.
I love how you paint and show how you apply it and make everything work.. it makes it so easy to understand instead of someone talking about it and saying to do this and that without showing how
This is my favorite painting now... 🤩
The way you paint makes the gouache look like oil paint 😍 so beautiful.
So, I have a CZcams channel too, and I totally think everyone should record themselves painting, even just for themselves. I think it's such a huge help to be able to look back and see what you would have done differently and what you did well. I also think it's really helpful to be able to watch other artists and hear their thought processes, so I appreciate the commentary!
Your work is STUNNING! I love it. I love watching the process, it really helps me with my art!
My himi gouache set finaly came like 2 minuts ago. The set is gorgieus 😊 i,ll paint whit it tommorow after work. I don,t wanna break the beautifull seals yet😊 or myby i do😂 i love you,re painting😊🎨👍🏾
I love your channel because it is both satisfying and informativ, youshow a wide variety of skin tones and inspire me to sharpen my skills and try different mediums💖
You're so talented and explain so well. Thank you
oh I love the commentary !! the painting turned out fantastic, it's so inspiring to see you transform the pen sketch to new levels with gouache, very beautiful, thank you for sharing your process ❤
This is gorgeous! Your voice overs are fine!
It's very beautiful. Commentry is fine as well😀💝
So beautiful and timeless. I don't know the show but I thought who is this beautiful black woman.
What is the piano music? 🎹 also wonderful!
Watching my videos back, I always see something I would have done differently! I enjoy watching your process far more than watching mine, I have to say!
Very pretty, I think this came out great. I like your voice and hearing your thoughts. It's insightful to know what an artist is thinking about as they work and why they chose to try something. It gives me creative fuel for my own work and helps me not feel alone when I think or do something similar.
I started using Strathmore toned /tan mixed media paper for gouache....it's excellent surface. I enjoy more than watercolour paper
That looked so beautiful 😍😍😍
i love the commentary! i don't have much of a working art knowledge/vocabulary so i like hearing you explain the specific reasons why certain things look different to the eye. it's interesting.
So beautiful!!
Thank you for this beautiful painting over your sketch. You have totally inspired me! I have been wondering how l can bring my sketches alive, and you have just shown me. I am a self taught illustrator and you have shown me my missing link. I can't thank you enough! Also, your soft voice, lovely piano music and working in real time, makes your videos a dream to watch. What a relief! Best wishes, Cecilia Drozda-Porter.
I love your commentary and your mixing paint and everything else! Looking forward to the next one and get well soon!!!!!
This is so satisfying and calming. Thank you so much.
These videos of yours are so lovely and the colour palette in this is stunning! 💌

This was an exquisite piece. You are so talented.
Waiting for this! I love how the shoulder shines through in her pose
Looks almost like an oil painting 👍
Stunning....I felt in love with your art work when I saw one of your videos....and I can't believe the way you make it look so simple!❤️
Your voice overs are just fine. Your art is amazing.
This video was just- wow. I've never seen anyone paint like you, it's gorgeous
Does anyone know the name of the music piece playing in the background?
Also, I don't mind this kind of commentary! For one, it's peaceful, and you have a soothing voice. Two, you actually discuss the ART, not what so-and-so said or did to you. I've only just found you, but I like what I've seen and heard so far!
Your Sketchbook its so beautiful
