Buddy, Ive met tonnes of people who switched from skiing to snowboarding, but you hardly ever meet anyone who goes from snowboarding to skiing.
The most talented snowboarders turn into paraplegics on skis. I’ve seen it many times. For some reason they disconnect from all athletic abilities when they get on skis.

Ok, I analogize the skiing vs. snowboarding this way. I'm a skier, and also a skater. I've skated all forms, and I'm pretty good for an amateur on ice, and I was a good skier too. I get compliments every time I skate. So- I say (not literally) to skateboarders: "you put on a pair of skates, and therefore not able to bail every five seconds, and find out what skating is. In other words, you suck. That's how I feel about snow boarding.

The sad thing about the silent generation and more particularly the greatest generation is that many of them raised a bunch of spoiled brats. That is true. I am grateful that my parents were not like that, and neither I, nor my siblings were spoiled. And none of my children were raised to be spoiled brats. Thankfully, they are doing a good job, not raising brats themselves. Actually I think it’s those who gave into the idea of a heaven on earth, utopia, a two child family that made life wonderful, I think those are the folks that have really, messed things up. And yes, they are narcissist because all they want is what is good for them, and tragically, what they think is good for them actually harms them.
