You never realize how absurdly complex the score is until you look at it. This is 100% atonal music, but in performance, it sounds so damn natural. Gustav Mahler, who sought musical perfection in his symphonies, said he never wrote an opera because that musical perfection had already been achieved by Wagner. He was right: I don't believe it's humanly possibly to create something more complete, more brilliant.

Ein großes Lob an diese Sängerin, denn sie singt die tiefen Töne (z. B. zweite Silbe von Siegfried) so, dass man sie hört! Überhaupt singt sie sehr schön. 🙂 Doch gerade hier die Noten? Sie singt nämlich oft mal eine andere Note in den unwichtigeren Tönen. 😁
