There was a moral to this act - when you put everything towards money (coins), the magic disappears. So few people appreciate magic for what it is, and instead look at it as a way to become rich or famous. The best magicians are the ones who find and spread the joy of magic.
I like Shin Lim and was very impressed by him! But wow this another level! Hope he wins America’s Got Talent 2019!!!

the cards to coins to cards in the latter part of his performance was what I was impressed with. cards and coins the two staples of sleight of hand magic. smart move to incorporate them both. Also there were a lot of coins involved there so that had to be very challenging.
The criticisms of course are fairly minor. His dealing seconds at the beginning actually needs some polish you could catch that at normal speed. he certainly is no richard turner or even ricky jay doing that stuff. His timing is good but the theatrical performance part is certainly no Shin Lim. Shin really knows how to make it dramatic.
All in all its a very practiced and prepared act that that is very good. I would like to see more of this magicians performances. I wonder how dependent he is on the table?
Hi James! Nice to see you again. After I watched this, I had to take a break to gather what's left of my wits! My favorite bit of all was when he moved the tape over the card and it disappeared as he was moving it, then he laid the tape down and picked up the portion of the card that was left, then laid the partial card down and moved the tape so that the whole card was restored! The whole act was very impressive, and I can understand him being on the Grand Prix of FISM with that performance. My next favorite portion was when I saw you, a professional magician, get your mind blown by the magic! Unlike The Sacred Riana, where our minds were blown by her character and the performance, more than the magic, his character was only that of a manipulator, but his magic carried the whole performance. Anyone who knows how to deal seconds, could criticize that, but the whole performance was simply mind boggling! Great reaction as always, James! Thumbs up for you.

I have filmed and uploaded the reaction for that performance. Unfortunately CZcams has taken it down 3 times. No matter how many times i edit and reedit the video it automatically gets taken down. It really sucks. 😔
The only thing I could pick apart was the coins in the box. There were clearly different compartments. The inner face of the lid was smooth at 7:03 when the coins were put in, but the inner lid had three tabs at 7:19 when the box appeared empty. There were clearly false compartments.

I can say around 80/90% the same
I am not sure if you noticed this, but those white frames dictates what kind of material can go on that side of the ribbon, when he removed the red card from the white frame, the cards got removed, when he changed the coin for the card, the coins became cards because he couldn't have the coins on that side.
Just a small thing that I noticed. Kind of cool concept if you ask me..
I think it was a jumpcut, too. However, not video editing. Eric Chien has obviously figured out how to jumpcut reality itself. :D

What do you mean by Black arts ?
I dont want to get too much into exposing what it is but its a technique that magicians use but something that is commonly used in theater in plays and musicals.
