I've been a sub since like 5 or 9k and it feels great seeing you succeed!
Thanks for the unboxing & such a detailed explanation! Happened to see your video while searching about 3D printers. Considering buying one myself! That M5C printer looks easy to use!
Great video. Covers a lot of points I need to know.
Thanks for sharing this. Good to know the difference between AnkerMake M5C and M5.
Great video. Looks like a no brainier to go for this over the M5. Quick noob question - what’s the best software to design in prior to exporting to the Ankermate slicing software to print? Have you done a video? Cheers
Love to see these contents about 3D printing. The M5C printer looks promising and it's functions are definitely beginner friendly!
I’m considering the m5 so I’m looking at everyone’s output on this machine thanks for your input but now I also read that there is new firmware updates and now it’s even better is that true???
Nice coverage, thank you. Did you get a haircut halfway through the video?
Very good video 😉
is it coming to Canada?
Did he get a haircut at 9:25 and it grew back at 10:39? Awesome 😁👍
This vs saving up for a bambulab printer?
The Bambu Labs printer video is dropping shortly as well
Did you even discuss the price in the video or did I miss it?
It’s $400 we weren’t told until it was announced. However it was around what I was expecting for the features.
The arts formerly known as prints
I hope printers will always have an offline option
at this price point would you say this is the best buy or not ?
It’s pretty dang reliable. If the first layer goes down it print’s successfully 99% of the time.
I actually just donated 2 ($400 and $200) printers to the high school because this is a lot more reliable. What do you have in mind to compare it to?
@@JaysTechVault i'm new to this so it would be my first printer but i'm not afraid to build one since i'm capable with my hands and do 3D modeling as part of my job (solidworks, Catia) was looking a Prusa mk3S+ Kit for about 650 until now
Hmm I would say it’s good for that then. However the filament is a little more expensive ($30 vs $25) for most brands.
@@JaysTechVault Retail yeah, but it's on sale pretty consistently. Picked up 10kg a week or two ago for 22$/kg. it's also some of the better PLA+/Pro I've used
What happens if the Internet loses connection?
It'll keep printing but you just wouldn't be able to monitor to it remotely
I found this review to contain quite a lot of information that was so relaxed that it was either incorrect information or misguided :/
In their FAQ they state that you can buy both a camera and a touch screen from them and add it to the machine.
I expect the m5 will come down in price if those add-ons are cheaper than buying an m5
Correct! You can purchase these items in the near future. Stay tuned!
The industrial revolution and its consequences
Elegoo Neptune 4 / 4 Pro, Sovol SV06 / SV07. All twice as much of a printer as this one while coming in at $100-150 dollars less. This is a swing and a miss here from Anker. This is a 200 dollar printer tops. You are honestly better off with a basic Ender 3 from Microcenter for 130.
All of those you mentioned cannot print at 500mm/s reliably.
Those printers have no remote connection, you cannot print remotely.
Finally the ability to add a camera, and screen attachment also is very good too.
@@JaysTechVault These Anker printers can NOT print 500mm/s. All your footage shows it printing at 30-60mm/s max. Not to mention two of those I mentioned run OPEN Klipper firmware that's fully fledged and not half baked like Ankers software. Wifi printing when it has to go through a company's app/website/server is not a plus, Being able to wirelessly print from within your own network is a plus. Lets not forget the price too. I can get a Bambu labs P1P or a Creality K1 for that price
"Better off with an Ender 3" haha no way dude. Even at 250mm/s, this can print so much faster out of the box. I've owned 3 Ender3 (v1, 2x V2s) with Klipper and Octo print and the M5 and M5C printed better and faster with nearly no setup.
Can you get great speed and the same remote connectivity with Klipper/Octoprint? Sure. But you're going to be spending hours and hours tweaking and you sure aren't going to get the speed with out purchasing more upgrades. People wanting to just set up and print aren't going to do that.
I do agree that the Neptune 4s and Sovols look promising though. Just glad to see printers with these capabilities becoming so cheap these days
@@seesharpist4194 So you have this printer in hand printing at 250mm/s outer wall speeds? (What accel might I ask?) In this video prints going at about 30-60mm/s and them be OG Ender 3 speeds.
The Klipper Printers I mentioned, not hours configuring at all. All you have to do is type in the ip adress and BAM ready to go.
This machine has no onboard controls other than a play/pause button. Which means you can NOT use it unless its connected to a network and accessible. Why? Good question. All my appliances and/or tools should do this. lol (dammit where's my phone, I need to microwave this pizza)
400 dollars is NOT cheap! all the printers mentioned are 100-150 dollars less with more functionality.
OH did I mention the no replacement part availability! I think the only thing easily available are the roller wheels.
do you guys think the civilized world will ever implement a Final Solution to the Chinese Problem?
