Thanks. I got my broken dishwasher out.
Excellent video! Concise, easy to understand, no unnecessary storytelling... wish all DIY videos could be like this!
Thank you! 😊
Totally agree! Thank you!!!
Also agree. Some people make a 30-minute video for a 5-minute task. Thank you for not being that person!
Thank you thank you thank you. I watched this while my husband was at work. I was pretty proud of myself for having it done before he got home. 😂
Great job! Proud of you!!!!
What I wouldn't do for my gf to do this while I'm at work lol
I love your tone and thoroughness. It's not condescending it's just informative.
Great video. No fluff. Easy to understand and follow- and all under 5 minutes. You're doing good work, keep it up!
Much appreciated, Jon! ☺️
I did it! Your video was so clear that I felt comfortable taking the dishwasher out myself. It took just over an hour. The hardest part was finding the proper screwdriver to fit the variety of screws that needed to be removed. Definitely a DIY job. If this 63 year old woman can do it by herself, anyone can do it
Yay! So glad you tried this DIY and did it! Thanks for sharing.😃
I never comment on CZcams videos. Thank you for getting straight to the answers, doing great editing and, providing a super easy explanation. 11/10.
Thank you...I appreciate your comment!!
Wow! The best VIDEO EVER!!¡ This should be the first video someone look for when doing this. Loved how you placed the camera dynamicly in some shots just showing your face 😂. Great great great content
Got a follower.
Jowaovieira, welcome 🤗 to the DIYPC FAMILY!!!!! We're glad that you received something from our video...and I'm glad that you liked that shot. Hope to hear from you again soon. DIYPC ✨
I followed the directions and it worked perfectly,! Note-If you have two of each wire... white goes to white. Black goes to black, and green goes to ground (the metal looking one).
Great video and perfectly paced
I realized after that I didn’t really need to pause and I was going along
Great video with step by step by step instructions. I removed my dishwasher in just a few minutes. Thanks!
Craig, we are extremely happy that you were able to get what you needed from this video. 😊 Thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for making this video. It wasn’t too bad taking the dishwasher out. I lucked out. I had a plug-in to wall so I didn’t have to do all the electrical stuff. You save $50 from having the delivery company take out!
Thanks again
Great instructional video! You give easy to understand instructions. Simple. To the point. No unnecessary comments and I love the question and answer at the end! Thank you
You're welcome, Trigoddess. We hope that you learned a lot and we appreciate you watching our video 📸. Best -DIYPC 😃✨

Thanks for the helpful video! In my case it turned out that I didn't need to remove the kick plate or wiring, nor lower the legs.
I bet that made things much easier and faster for you.😀
@@DIYPowerCouple Yes, though I didn't know that I didn't need to remove the kick plate until after I did that part.😄
Well done video. Appreciate the difficulty rating at the end.
Thank you, Josh!
I'm glad you got something out of it.
Thanks for this! Helpful instructions that worked for me.
You're welcome! We are very happy that it worked for you! 😊
Great video! Helped alot, really had no idea what to do.
We're glad we could help. Just glad you were able to get what you needed out of it. Best - DIYPC
To reiterate previous comments (for good reason) this is an excellent video. We have the electricians coming tomorrow (they won't touch the water line) and the installers for the new machine the day after. Our hard-wired setup was extended with wire and wire nuts and the installers said we had to get the electricians in to redo the circuit to bring it up to code. We didn't argue- the codes are made for good reasons. Thanks for the video, I know exactly what I need to do. New subscriber.
Welcome to the DIYPC Family! 🤗
This is how we changed hardwired to an outlet: czcams.com/video/p5L7vLOrcf8/video.htmlsi=TFr-yj5t3rT5YPop
Great video, helped me take out my first dishwasher with ease. Also allowed me to know how to put the new one back in.
Glad it helped!
Thank you for the video. Got my leaking dishwasher out quick fast and in a hurry.
Thank you, sir...!!! My neighbor bought a new one and I became the un-installer...installer...!!! Great vid...!!!
You're welcome...and I understand being the installer...uninstaller...who needs to install before he installs.😀
10/10 video, literally took me 10 minutes. Hardest part for me was just trying to get the hard wire out through the bracket
I'm glad you were able to do it. Fantastic!!!
I never comment on videos but this one is brilliant- clear, concise, and empowering and positive. Love it and love the insights you shared after the job was done. Thank you for helping us DIY out here!
Wow, thank you and you're welcome! 🤗

thanks for this great video, gives me confidence to understand the steps needed to take my dishwasher out to clear out a mouse issue.
You can definitely do it...now the mouse thing is another issue 😞😊
Praise God I haven't had to replace a dishwasher in quiet a while.
Now that I shared that watch that thing go out tomorrow
Lol/Great post!
This is a great explanation. I liked everything about it, and loved the little segement at the end asking about how it went. I love a couple working at these kinds of things together. I mostly knew what to do, but pulled your video up just to confirm. Appreciate the tip on putting a towel down so as not to scratch the floor! Couple years old now, but still relevant. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment! 🤗Here's our latest dishwasher removal video:czcams.com/video/BzxOjq9Nbeg/video.htmlsi=LtWu4TwkklEpHwJc

Thanks y’all ❤
I’m about to give this a try!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I heading over to mu sister's place to do removal . . . GREAT VIDEO keep it up. also I like the end of video wrap up!!
Amazing thanks buddy 😊
You are delightful, will definitely subscribe. If my old washer plugs in, rather than being hardwired, do I still need to turn off the breaker? I just bought a new one from Costco and the price includes delivery AND, thankfully, installation and haul away but I’d like to at least start the process before the installer gets here.
Thank you! Turning off electricity at the breaker when installing new appliances is an extra safety measure.
@@DIYPowerCouple Thanks. I bought one that included free installation. But I appreciate the response.
Soooo helpful!
One suggestion. When dealing with electricity you should demonstrate how to test whether a wire is still live.
You guys always give great tips that are very useful.
Thank you, J. -DIYPC 😃
Cute couple, and nice helpful video. Thanks!
Just used this and it was so helpful! Great instructions
Excellent video, just one question? Why did He have to turn house electricity off? Couldn’t He have just unplugged it?
This dishwasher was hardwired so there is no plug to unplug.
Thank you for making this video!
Thank you!!!!
If all I need to do is push it to the right a bit, so I need to remove the kick plate or disconnect the plumbing? I have an issue with the door rubbing against the counter frame. The under counter mount has a metal bar with several holes that allow me to screw back in a different place.
If there are several holes underneath, seems like someone moved it a round. No need to remove plumbing, just unscrew the mounts and find (or make) holes that will allow the dishwasher to fit correctly. Try that first. 🤗
You could also mention how to turn the house water off and then back on again in a way that doesn't put air in the pipes
Super helpful, thanks
Great video. My biggest question was how to slide it out if the flooring butts up to it. So you're able to lower the feet to slide it out?
Yes, adjusting the feet will give you a little more clearance to slide it out.
@@DIYPowerCouple thank you
This is great but my question is why is kitchen sink water draining onto my undersink cupboard after removing dishwasher hose from sink drain?
nicely done!
Thank you so much I have an ancient dishwasher that needs to be removed but aim not putting in a new one. What so I need to do if I don't want to put one back in?
You could add more cabinets in that space for extra storage.
If im not using the water supply how the best way to plug it
If I just want to pull it out to put pesticides behind it- do I have to turn off electric and water?
You da man.
Thanks, Kylea!
What do you do with the old wires if your new dishwasher plugs in?
We wired them to an outlet but had to update the outlet to a GFCI Here's how: czcams.com/video/p5L7vLOrcf8/video.html
