I wonder what kind of church everyone grew up in? I grew up in a Baptist church. And they say if you confess Jesus before a group in a church your saved. But they are twisted these two verses out of context in the bible, Romans 10:9-10 and Matthew 10:32. They tried to lead me into something is called Easy Believism when I was 14. And that was a long time ago. Image the damage it has done since then? It's more like a act of the will which is a work salvation. Vs. like what Jesus said in John 6:44. Basically someone is credit salvation to themselves. Which is not by grace like the winds John 3:8. But by a works salvation Eph. 2:8-9. A false gospel. If someone add human works to salvation. Then you have another gospel. And Apostle Paul warns about that in Galatians 1:9.
The Roman Catholic do the same with Baptismal Regeneration. Another act of the will. Much debate in the bible in how much free will we actually have when it comes to our enteral security. Then after we are told were saved by asking Jesus into our heart. We go back into the world sleeping with our soul mate or boy/girl friends. Have enough religion in us to deem our conscience and send us straight to hell. For example, when we read Matthew 7:21. They added human works to their salvation Isaiah 64:6. And did not do the will of the Father for example 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. And we wonder why Jesus said he never knew them. And we wonder why Jesus said let no one deceive you Matthew 24:4.
Don't get deceive Gavin or Larsen or whomever. People that love you the most as a Christian. Will tell you the most truth if they know the truth. Here's a website I have share with others called. www.gotquestions.org Ask what is Easy Believism? Or ask Is Public Confession Necessary for Salvation Romans 10:9-10? And if you back up to Matthew 10:17-25. You will notice the author was talking about someone who was already a believer. Public confession is not the means to salvation. But the evidence of salvation.
This question is the big debate in the whole bible to ask called, Monergism vs Synergism which view is correct? So many people think they have a good heart like Larsen mention. Ask this one What is Total Depravity is it biblical? The reason people don't see their depravity sinful nature? Because we been educated with discipline, respect and with good manners since birth. And special with love. So we grow up believing our wills are total free. And that we are a good person. But God says other wise in Romans 3:10, Mark 10:18 and Matthew 7:11. This is after Adam and Eve both sinned. They both spiritual died from having a good will to please God. So what child do you half to teach to lie, steal or be selfless? You don't they learn that own their own. Take a child and discipline them not until the age of ten. What would you have on your hands? A Monster. Would anyone come to Jesus in that state of mind? No, That's what Jesus is saying in John 6:44-45. Another question you can ask is called Is God Sovereign or do we have a free will? We do have a free will, but it's only to our sinful nature 1 John 1:10.
Many people don't know the difference between human works Isaiah 64:6 and good works in Eph. 2:10? So ask this one called, Is Faith without works dead? Because salvation seems like we must do something to earn our salvation. All we need to do is repent and believe the gospel. When God draws us to his son John 6:44 thru biblical preaching 2 Timothy 4:2. And perhaps be baptize for obedience. So here's one more question anyone can ask, Why is salvation by works the Predominantly held view point?
And this might help someone reading this information from me. This is how I felt I was being drawn by God thru biblical preaching on You Tube called, The Shocking Youth Message by Paul Washer. And you ever wonder why God can't forgive like you and me? Why Jesus had to died in our place for our sins? It relates to this text in the bible Proverbs 17:15. There's a sermon on CZcams called, Paul Washer Rally, The True Gospel at the 45 minute maker. And if anyone has no fear whom the real God is in the bible. Then here's audio sermon on You Tube or Google called, The Wrath of God by Curt Daniel. So many Pastors/Preachers don't preach much on sin or the wrath of God. Because they want big churches.
