My goodness, she literally asked him what was different between this new movie and the original Mean Girls and he didn't say this one was a musical (just briefly mentioned the existence of the Broadway musical). You could tell he was instructed not to mention it being a musical. Such a weird marketing choice.

I’m not sure if he’s seen the original tbh, out of the whole cast, he seems the least aware of it. He probably has been instructed on what to say but if you watch interviews with other members of the cast, they do emphasise it’s a musical.
@@javiruiz8365it’s not. It’s an adaptation of the broadway musical, which is commercially successful. So strange they didn’t advertise it that way. I love it though. Love musicals.
