This game has one of the greatest endings you can ever find. The simple meaning of the phrase "The goal is the horizon" makes this game worth playing. I mean, this phrase is so relatable to humankind, it defines us perfectly. Thirst for knowledge is our greatest trait and it is simultaneously our strongest weapon, its the driving force for our progress and the source for our dominion over the environment and the food chain itself. We always want to know how something works or what makes it what it is. However, in these times where people prefer instant gratification without any effort, people tend to forget that the journey, or the process if you will, that we have to undertake in order to get that knowledge, is the most enjoyable part. If somebody just tells you the answer to everything, wouldnt that be fckin boring? What is the point of that? Hence, the simple phrase "The goal is the horizon" is in a sense, quite philosophical. It also means that whatever knowledge you have gained until know, there is still more (fun) exploration and knowledge to be found. Because, there is nothing more painful than knowing that there is nothing else to do, eg. boredom.
The game had few alternate endings, and I just mashed them all together. One was about finding the treasure, but it is not told what the treasure is. It is left to imagination.
This is one of the few times I'll say that the DLC was actually better than the base game - both story-wise and gameplay-wise.
