  • Wife's car had a boot lock problem it would at times not open at all and sometimes work fine it could only be the switch or lock and it seems it was the lock.

I have a Hyundai i20 and it does not have any lever inside to manually open it. The boot refuses to open and I have no way of opening it. What should I do ?

If its the same model then there is a leaver but its behind that plastic cover. the lock has the lever on it but no access hole thats so stupid i think. So get in the car and get off that plastic cover and press the lever to open the boot if you want you can guess where the lever is and drill a hole for it thats what i plan on doing for future use. I will make an update video as it turned out to be the boot button and not the lock thats the issue. But the lock is cheaper than the button hence i got the lock first.

Im not sure where you are from but the button costs more than the locking mechanism where i lived i ended up getting a button too and that fixed the issue too. So it was a combination of a bad button and bad lock.
