Not everyone lives the same lifestyle. I needed a capsule for formal work, a capsule for formal evening events, a capsule for smart off duty, and another for "at home". Altogether, I had 65 pieces.
Absolutely true. So interesting to me to hear about a formal events capsule! I go nowhere fancy ever 😂 a good capsule has to fit your lifestyle, your personal style, your body etc…so everyone’s will be different. Thanks for sharing yours.

I completely get that. Yes I have so many tips (getting minimalism down was hard at first) but one of my most helpful things that I still do now is use Pinterest as a visual tool to really focus in on my personal style. Once I pin all my inspo pics, I look for what they have in common and try to make a wish list for pieces that overlap with a few different looks. That usually helps me make my few pieces more versatile. I’m hoping to make a video about all my tips there are so many but I hope this little bit makes sense 💗

Honestly I never thought of wearing things by season. Seems so obvious 😅 but hence why Im here. Yes, I think every season should be unique and special in its own way, and have special pieces. I live in Chicago were we get 2 months of summer and the rest of the year it's freezing 🥶

I've been trying to reduce my wardrobe down but I still miss pieces of my old wardrobe and get bored of my clothes waay too quickly as I have very low self esteem with my confidence! When I was still trying to figure out my own style, and even now to avoid spending when I’m not sure, I mull over my Pinterest inspo and hold out for items that bring that feeling! I completely get that! Taking your time to plan is key. Starting with your inspiration and focusing on it completely takes practice. Also being patient - I’ve been working on a capsule wardrobe for over 5 years! So I hope you don’t feel rushed to get it perfect, for me it was definitely a slow and intentional process. ✨💗
Thank you! That’s a great question. Since moving to minimalism I basically just had to learn not to wash my things as often as I was used to. I do my laundry about every week and half or so, and that saves the quality of my clothing and lots of time too! I just be sure let me clothes air out overnight and to spot clean if necessary between washes. Hope that helps but happy to answer anything more specifically if you have questions 💓

Great question! I think if I wanted fitted pieces an xs would be accurate. Since I like oversized I go for smalls mostly, so one size up imo ☺️
