Yes, definitely love the bark finish -- I have the sac de jour in the smooth calf skin leather and honestly after my experience with that I just wanted something different and more resilient since I plan to make this my ultimate going out bag. So the bark finish is perfect for me. But if you like the smooth style, that is also great just be more wary about scratches and dents!

I don't have any issues carrying it around though, I used it during my trip as a daily bag and it was totally fine! The leather strap helps a lot and I carry it as a double looped shoulder bag which helps distribute the weight a bit better vs just one long strap.
Hi may I ask if your bag is the smooth leather or the coated bark leather? I'm really worried about the smooth leather being scratch prone. I think the crocodile embossed shiny is more sturdy but I'm not too into the look. Thanks!
Hello! Yes this is the coated bark leather! In my opinion, this finish is very resilient, would be difficult to scratch the leather… and not as shiny as the faux croc embossed finish.

I have the smooth one, and it's not actually smooth like the kate tassel or the old sac de jour, it's more box leather and has a slight texture. It does not scratch in normal use unless you really bang it around. Grain de poudre is more durable though.

Hi everyone, I have a question that might seem silly to some, but it is something that is bothering me. I’ve ordered this bag once and it came in impeccable condition except for one thing… the flap was not perfectly horizontal and by that I mean: when closed, you could notice a slight difference in hight between the left and the right corner of the flap. One side was a couple of mm lower but the difference was noticeable enough. I thought it was a production error so I sent the bag back. Then I watched some videos including this one and I saw the same asymmetry. In some videos the flap seems to be perfectly straight and horizontal, but in most videos it is not. Can you guys confirm it? Thanks a lot for your feedback. I think that I have some type of OCD but then again, when I pay that kind of money I expect it to be perfect.

Hi Jackie! I definitely think this bag is one of those bags that are great for both evening and everyday use. The sleek gold hardware makes it great for the evening and the multiple slot storage makes its great for everyday. Granted you cannot carry a ton, but you can cover all your essentials! One thing to note is that the chain is pretty heavy so that might not be the best option for everyday if you don't like heavy bags.
