Project Scope: Diagnosing the issue Taking the motor assembly out Oiling the motor in the proper places Screwing everything back together Testing/Listening to the system
I have a portable AC unit that started screaching (high pitch) while it was running. I'm guessing it's a bearings issue, but can't say for sure. I would imagine the unit doesn't have a belt inside. Anyone have this problem with a portable AC and fix it? I'm assuming I will not be able to find replacement parts.
Thorough video, thanks for sharing
NOT '' thorough " ........... ever heard of 'before and after ' ? ..... should have given us a recording / video of the problem sound
First, disconnect fuse ⚡
Good call!

I might try calling the manufacturer’s support line
I was told wd40 isnt to be used to lubricate unless its silicone
Probably right, use the other oil I used in the video
