    (New Condenser Motor)
Just a quick video on how I was able to take off our extremely noisy condenser fan motor and oil it by dripping it down the motor shaft eventually getting to the bearings and quieting it down. It's been running all day and all night and sounds as quiet as it should be.
I wasn't able to oil the upper bearing because the motor is sealed (The case is riveted shut).
After this motor started making noise again about a month and a half after posting this video, I drilled out the rivets and separated the motor case and oiled the upper bearing as well. Unfortunately, it was too worn out and I ended up replacing the condenser fan motor.
Here's the link to that video: • How to Replace Noisy H...
***WARNING***Please make sure you turn off the power and verify that there's nothing that's gonna shock you with the non-contact voltage testing pen before doing anything like this.
I will post an update if/when the noise comes back or the condenser fan motor fails.
    Thanks for watching!

Thank you, it was 84 degrees in my house as we waited for the new motor to arrive. I figured there had to be a way to get the motor to start running again, even if for just a few days. It started right up and my wife is happy! Liked and subd.

Thank you. My A/C is making a very similar noise and this is the video I needed. My A/C has been running strong for 40 years.

I oiled mine and ordered the replacement. hopefully it last long enough till the replacement comes in the mail. It's going to be pretty hot for the next 3 days.

This is my exact problem. Thank you for sharing! I added the oil, but sometimes theres this long delay befor the ac starts running again when I turn it on.

Its nice of you to post that update. This is still a good idea, though you can also take off the bolts holding the housing together to oil both sides directly. If the motor is making noise its probably too late though.
