Great video guys, I've been searching for clear instructions on how to do this for hours and there isn't a lot of source! Good marketing as well : I just bought a fin box from your shop ;)
Hi great instructions my fin just came unglued, can I just re-attach it or do I need a new one? Also my handle came unglued as well, can I do the same process for that? Thanks in advance.
Smooth side down (while board) is correctly orientated possibly. I agree with you that gritty side making contact with the board would make the best bond.
For anyone reading this comment, its true, you can do that once or twice and its usually okay. A lot of folks do that. It gets fatter each new application since what you cut out isn't the whole adhesive patch.
Hello, I need help. during my fin box replacemente unfortunately i have cut my sup in 2 points ( about 3cm of cut) around the old fin box shape. there is any tutorial to repair my inflatable board???
Hey, he uses in the video: LePage® Heavy Duty Contact Cement and recommends Stabond 2-Part adhesive (UK-148). Basically he says that for this type of work, contact cement glue works just fine. I will try this week when I glue my new fin :)

Great instructional video! One question: 11:20 wouldn't the 'gritty' side down adhere to the glue better than the smooth side?
I would think he was supposed to put the gritty side down...

Great video. I lost the fin and cracked the fin box. Can I just glue the box along the crack?
Thanx bro
Be careful using the heat gun folks. I just wrecked my $700 iSUP with it. :(
Would it not be easier to just cut the fin box out and simply glue the patch over ?

Can I use vinyl cement instead of contact cement?
Hey! Will polyurethane glue do the job?
Where can I buy the replacement fin box? Thanks

Did you ever get this figured out? I also have leaks in my iSUP where the old glue attached the finbox to the board.
@@virtualcurbappeal8637 Get a pvc bigger than the hole. Use the same process as above, bit with the pvc.
@@zefe3886 Thanks. I did that and it seems to have worked😀
