Good overview. The understanding of the effectiveness of musket fire has changed quite a bit in the past decade. British soldiers were trained to aim, and the muskets were far more accurate than most historians give credit for. The European tactics employed by Braddock were designed for the fields of battle in Europe, not North America. The British Army VERY quickly adapted to North American warfare.

The settlement difference is England deported settlers that became land owning settlers farmers while the French sent soldiers, missionaries and trappers, few looking to make a life in the new world. At the start of the 7 years war New England already had a million land owning family while French Canada is barely 25,000

I recall that an historian named Charles Osman (?) wrote a history of The Seven Years War. Could this be his daughter? Impressive lecture.
Maybe when one Osman dies, another historian takes up the name. Like with a kingship, or how hermit crabs take each others shells.

Interesting you said Champlain established a relationship with the Iroquois and Huron. Don’t you think it’s more he befriended the Algonquin and Huron and he alienated the Iroquois, who would be Frances enemy in the 7 years war and relentlessly destroy the French ally the Huron
