Matthias Höfs is quite possibly one of the finest trumpet players of our time. Not since Maurice Andre' has anyone played the piccolo trumpet so fluidly and with such precision! Of course all the members of the German Brass are fantastic, Bravo!!!
Beeindruckend, als Höfs bei diesem einen Ton absetzt und sein Kollege in weiterspielt und kein Unterschied erkennbar ist.Als ob nie beide gespielt hätten.Götter auf ihrem Instrument
I am looking at the rack of trumpets hanging on my wall (which I play everyday) and thinking that after seeing this video perhaps with the high price of brass I should make a costly donation to the scrap metal yard?
Judging by the mouthpiece size, sound and general shape I'm pretty sure it's a german Tenor horn. You know, the instrument that has the solo part in the beginning of Mahler's 7th symphony.
well, there are several "baby trrombones" the largest one is the piccolo trombone, then a tad bit smaller is the junior piccolo trombone, then comes the double piccolo trombone, and then the double junior piccolo trombone

There're rotary valve trumpets. Made in the keys of Bb and C

Belle performance ! Dommage que l'orgue à tuyaux (beau buffet à l'arrière-plan) n'ait pas été associé à l'ensemble !
1:18 they start
Wow!!!!2:34
Damn guys. Putting the stank on it!
Brandon Ostrom I think is a rotary valve trumpet
Matthias suona anche i rubinetti!!!!
monstros ...
Who is the second horn? :)
What the hell are your trumpets doing hanging on a wall when they should be safe in their cases? Besides, how many do you have?
Linsanity~~
Piano's Woodpecker!

1:18
Don't hassle The Hoffs !
I' m the 100th comentary :)
Does Matthias typically write these arrangements? They always seem to be very Matthias heavy. Haha. Not that I don't love it, cus I do.
It’s more like he is filmed the most.
Tubas anyone? 😏
What is the name of that instrument that looks like a rotary valve euphonium at 6:19?
That is Tuba
smaller and next to it.
I guess it has to be a Wagner tuba. I cannot think of anything else.

It's a Baritone. It's the German style, normally used in traditional bohemian music. The sound is brighter than the sound of an euph.
Cavernoso??!
DONT YOU FKN CLAP!
What is that little baby horn!!???
well, there are several "baby trrombones"
the largest one is the piccolo trombone, then a tad bit smaller is the junior piccolo trombone, then comes the double piccolo trombone, and then the double junior piccolo trombone
I think you are refering to the corno di caccia. It is a very old instrument that has been recently been rediscovered.
Joe Borgia it looks a lot like a post horn to me...
+Taeke van der Kooi Corno di caccia is actually the valveless Horn. >>Tromba da caccia
At what point? At 6:35 that is a piccolo trumpet.
I'm still partial to Mnozil Brass and Synergy.
menos falatório e mais música, please
