      Ukraine may be an issue but our people issues our priority, we supported as frontline Country defeated Soviet Union but EU US left us alone in post war issues and again War on Terror we sacrifices 80 thousands Citizens 120 Billions USD infrastructure damgd but EU US NATO ISAF forces left us alone in the mid of unsolved terrorism.     Honestly a very good interview in my humble opinion.
    Both the interviewer and Khan tried their best to "work with each other" for lack of a better word.
    Interviewer clearly asks hard questions. And Khan seemed to answer to the best of his capabilities. He obviously was/is restricted by "on the ground" reality on what is wise to say and what not to say.

Some issues blown out of proportion, i mean if entire world has condemned what actions are taken so far to put an end to conflict and we all know how much practically been done to erdaicate misery of ukrainians. Will it work just by taking sides or condemning one party. It will further push the conflict. Solution between two parties lies in taking them to table not by taking side and strengthen any of the party.

    I have great respect for DW, but this was an appalling interview! Let the prime minister speak! Im from Australia and before this interview I did not have Pakistan's viewpoint on the subject, but the prime minister held himself very well and more importantly gave answers for the questions the interviewer was asking! Honestly DW taking shots at Russia is easy at this point but the PM of Pakistan has nothing to do with it.

    Dependencies make leaders cave to dictators; even Germany wouldn't immediately cut off oil and gas from Russia, and they have alternatives. Pakistan has real needs of food and fuel with no backup as far as I know, which puts them between a rock and a hard place. Kudos to Imran Khan for telling it like it is.

    Why is a condemnation by Imran Khan so crucial for the West? The same question was posed to him while in power and even now and his answer to that was the same as then as it is now. How is he wrong in saying that why hold Pakistan to a different yardstick when your own strategic ally India hasn't condemned it and is doing business along with Germany that is doing business with Russia even after condemning it!

      The answer to this primary question has been known to everyone.
      The US and West want every individual country to keep following their interests, no matter how it affects the others.
      They play a massive role in unbalancing the nations interests...they have the balls, the power of international media to covense the people what they want.

      @@amankhan-yp9qf But India has quite admirably and deftly avoided getting pressured by the West. If Pk hasn't then its the fault of its establishment. This precedes the Sharifs and Zardaris so it can't be blamed totally on them either.

      @@enlivenrex9997 yup, completly agreed on that. indian establishment and their foreign policies are far more better than pak.we have our own people that easily came under pressure or willingly agreed with US and west in exchange of their personal benefits like providing them foreign nationalities and other properties.
      So we need someone like Imran khan to change all these from the ground.
      Our country is not poor it is full of Natural resources and beauty. But we need honest leaders to run the state in the right direction.

      The world is being divided into pro-Russia and anti-Russia. Pakistan is choosing pro-Russia for completely pragmatic reasons which, after this interview, I fully respect. But it is what it is.
      Now India sitting down at a table with China, Russia and Pakistan is just wack.

      Usa wants to use pakistan in its proxy wars in this region.
      After russia ukraine war many of the old american allies abstained from voting in security council.

    When Imran khan hit the right issue the host tried to interrupt vigorously. Mr. Khan seems to be very honest and candid. DW is totally screwed up.

    Great elaborate interview. Mr Khan seems like a very nice, concious and reasonable man and leader that was put in a difficult position. Wish we could see more of those kind of leaders. My respect.
