    I hate when ppl bring up wide receiver salaries as an example of why rb’s should get more. Yeah Hunter Renfrow makes 15 mil and by wide receiver standards that’s not much money. Top paid wr’s make 30 mil. Its a lazy apples to orange comparison

      The point is that the devaluing of prime RBs in the market is ridiculous. The better asset should be priced accordingly. In that comparison, the better asset is Barkley.

    How in the " H " is a quarterback named KIRK COUSINS who's been in the NFL 12 yrs, has only 5 playoff appearances and only 1 win in the post season KEEPS GETTING GUARANTEED MONEY?
    Someone please explain why this dude who's not even in the top tier of qb's keeps getting teams to pay him as if he's something to fear or take to the Super Bowl?

    • @nankam
      @nankam Před 2 měsíci +4

      Supply and demand. There are far more NFL teams than top tier QB's. When his time in Washington was up the Vikings were desperate for anyone resembling a productive starter, and now it's the Falcons turn to be desperate.

    About Kenny Pickett and Russell Wilson competing is so true. If Kenny Pickett truly wants to be the franchise quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers he will need to have a fire lit underneath him which is exactly what Tomlin is doing. I know for a fact that the Steelers can make a Super Bowl with Russell Wilson. They have a championship defense there’s no doubt about it and the offense truly has weapons. If Steelers get Russell Wilson playing at his not even best but GOOD, they will make a playoff run for sure.

    If I was Caleb Williams, I would be dreading being picked by Chicago as the overall Number 1 draft pick. Yes, it’s an honor to be the first pick in the NFL draft, but Chicago is the death knell for NFL QBs. Even the ‘85 Bears, considered by many to be the greatest NFL team of all time, it wasn’t the QB that was the biggest star of that team. It was that sick Bears’ defense and Walter Payton that were the “heart” of that team. McMahon was a good QB, no doubt, but he wasn’t a “top tier” QB like Montana, Marino, Fouts, or Elway. The best QB the Bears have had since McMahon is Jay Cutler, a talented QB, no doubt, but not a Hall of Fame-level QB. Outside of McMahon and Cutler, you’d have to go back to the late 1930s & 1940s to get to, arguably, the greatest Bears QB of all time in Syd Luckman. And unless you’re a diehard, lifelong Bears fan, or you happen to be 80 yrs old or older and a lifelong Chicagoan, you’re probably like, “Who the heck is Syd Luckman”? This is the level of historical futility at the QB position that Caleb Williams is up against should he end up being the Bears’ selection at Number 1.

    The Vikings just beat mediocrity by letting Cousins go. They picked up Sam Darnold, who now looks like early years Joe Flacco. Big, tough, smart, strong arm. Darnold will average a touchdown more than Cousins per game. If they don't draft Daniels or Maye, then Darnold will let the Vikings sit McCarthy or Nix for a full season. Otherwise, he'll be a really solid backup.
