The site we visited where we had our picknick is called "Mont Brouilly" in the Beaujolais wine region, not far from Macon.
Another week has flown by! We're still working on our kitchen project, we've been busy in the garden and our friends from The Netherlands were here as they've bought a house a little south of us and we're going to have a look at it!

Getting to experience a little of that through your content, plus the pearls of slow life wisdom you share has meant a lot to me. Very nice drone shots! I loved those cows observing the swan who hopefully was alright, the cows are very curious animals but very docile and kind, they only observe, they don't disturb...very nice to have friends moving close by and I will definitely check out their channel to see the progress. I'm sure you and Olaf will be contacted for advice on many things about the property. Very enjoyable video.

I had a laugh at you sanding the doors, you have such an amazing idea of what you want them to look like….staining them lightly would look great, but they will turn out beautiful anyway. LOVELY! Marloes your next-level videography of this incredible place you call home keeps me tuning in again and again. The verdant landscape, the overgrown garden, those incredible doors! I do believe however the animals were the star of this week's vlog...Tigrette needing a cuddle in the garden, the cows in the field all a twitter about the unexpected visitor(glad the swan continued on her journey), and you friend's sweet frosted face dog just certain he would get a morsel from the lunch table! Oh and who can resist a new puppy! Just all in a week for you but such a delight for all of us!

We had ratatouille, potatoes, goat’s cheese and other cheeses and bread and some tomatoes, radishes and carrots with hummus 😇
Happy your Dutch friends are only a few hours away now....which piqued my curiosity....are the Netherlands more expensive to live at or is it the warmer weather that brings Dutch families to the wine regions of France? Once again...lovely video!
Houses in The Netherlands are definitely more expensive and have less land…
The swan certainly had the cows under control. Did you know that in the southern hemisphere (I’m in Australia) all our swans are BLACK. Northerners are all white. Crazy, eh?

Lovely and peaceful… you’re so right good food and friends are all you need. Have you tried rubbing the wood with some “ wire wool “ and some methylated spirit ?
I have! The wire wool was too soft. The paint strip product and a soft steel brush worked really well! And the heat gun for the easier parts… A hell of a job but it’s finally finished!
Great work!!! I would have used chalk paint and dark wax! (Annie Sloan) no stripping!!

I’m not going to paint the doors but will leave them with the bare wood so using chalk paint is not a solution. 😊
