Whenever my boy comes through, whatever he worked on is gonna be fast and modified to the max! Great job brother 💯
We’re keeping it 100%
Liking the honesty!! Great video and keep them coming!
That's how we do it!!!
drone footage was awesome!
That truck looks familiar! Nice overview and running footage.
Haha, glad you made it out
Redesigned hammer rey.
If you can find one in a hobby shop, theyre on sale $299. Regular $580. Great deal.
super cool rig all around :D
Love this scaled down version! This truck is a desert racer not a basher. In the desert with loose terrain is where it excels, high bite traction needs throttle control. Yes, a few mods will stabilize the rig for sure.
Hi from V&b Speed a new rc community channel stop in say hi thank u ✌️
We'll mod it and see what it can do. I'm not exactly sure it has high bite traction. I just seems narrow and high. Widen it and stabilizer bars should be good for it. A sad part is Losi put stabilizer bars but they're only decorational.
@@RCReviewChannel Can't wait to see the transformation. Vitavon makes a rear anti-sway bar.
It has rear sway bar it's hidden in front of the rear shocks. The fake one is fake. No front, which is a bummer
@@ryano8613 Right. Vitavon makes a rear sway-bar to replace the fake one for added stabilization.
Beautiful truck. This one I'll look into further.
right on
I have this rig and I’ve used it to rock crawl. Does decent
haha. Long wheelbase rock crawl. Can rock bounce I'm sure.
@@RCReviewChannel it has open diffs so you have to use more throttle to make it over the obstacles. So yeah some rock bouncing does take place
Offset wheels, some weight down low and 4s on the stock system has made me content with my purchase. I have more plans for mine still but I feel out of the box and on 3s it is a let down.. course I purchased a Super Rock Rey at the same time and that thing is a monster and huge fun which over shadowed this car lol.
Good call. Sounds like the rear diff is locked too so just need to free that up.
I just got one on sale for $299. For that price it's a must have
Did he have to modify the wiring on UDR chase lights? Thanks
Try going stiffer in the rear diff to get it to slide more through the turns. Might help with the rolling over,
Hello from V&b speed a new rc community channel stop in say hi thank u ✌️
Will do for sure.
The rear diff is locked💪
So I’m running the same motor esc on my Baja Rey on the smallest pinion and have major overheating issues. Do those fans prevent that 100%?
I tried the same exact set up in mine, and it was getting way too hot. 4100kv is too high for a heavy rig like this. You want something around the 3100kv range. More torque to push the heavy truck, less heat.
Would love to know what window nets were used on this!
did you run the chase led light bar off the traxxas voltage adapter and controller?
That’s what I want to know. I need to know how
A totally cool looking 'scale' replica of a very successful 4400 class UDR. But it is far more practical to 'tune' this scaler from Losi as a Rock Crawler because if you drive it FAST you'll start breaking "scale" parts as readily as the Axial RR10 Bomber or Ryft does when 'raced'.
Good news it passed the durability test on that hard day.
It's a scale car people . Yes.
Got my new Hammer Rey yesterday. That thing just cannot go straight... Anyone having the same issues????
Yo can u do an update on this ?
2:54 lol 😂 Well you asked for it!
Think it's made for loose dirt and sand, not grass or asphalt.
What kind of ramp that is?
Ninja Hopper Ramp. Adjustable and very expensive. :)
Those aftermarket shocks were a waste but other than that it's a great build
Not convinced on this one. Same issues as the UDR really, looks great but perfornance and handling just isn't there. Can't see myself putting down $580 USD for this truck but interested to see what can be done with this chassis. Thanks for the review 👍
Fair enough! Definitely more of a scaler out of the box and not a performer.
"I believe it's still stock servo". Well, if you didn't change it, I'm sure it's stock. And if you did change it, you would probably remember.
Kevin Talbot tested this truck recently, it was boringly slow & handled was even worse, he gave the truck away to somebody.
He knows what he's doing!
Looks cool as all get out, but it's a tumbleweed. Wish I never bought it. Should have stuck with arrma
tumbleweed.... lolol
yeah its not really good, for 300€ maybe^^
good point!!
dont understand why some people like this car, slow and flips
true... just spend 100$ more get a Traxxas UDR and be happy till u die probably lol =))
Cause it's a looker for scale. Or they're hooked on the 1:1
@@RCReviewChannel ture and I expect your channel could review CROSS RC AT6 I believe you have not done it yet if i am right
Looks slow
It's a terrible car, rolls over easily and climbs hard, the LMT has a lot of issues but can be improved, and the Hammer Rey is a trust in terms of size and performance.
'a trust'? What's that mean? We'll see what it can do with some mods.
Of course if you try and drive it like a more conventional truck it will roll over. The Hammer Rey requires more driver skill and input to run than something like a slash or Kraton for instance.
It's a scale rig not a basher and once you get the hang of it imo one of the most rewarding trucks available.
This kids mom and dad must be rich
Just earned his Masters in Engineering and got a phat new job! :)
Whats with the shaved eyebrows.
