If all circuits in the bathroom are protected by a 30 ma RCD and your incoming water and gas are mains bonded you no longer have to supplementary bond any pipe work in the bathroom.

True, but if your plumbing work has removed some wires and you're not an electrician qualified to assess the situation, it's best to put them back anyway.

Supplementary bonding is done in a bathroom to minimise the touch voltages that are created during a earth fault so all pipe work that is at earth potential and any class 1 fitting should be bonded together to keep them all at the same potential so no harmful voltages pass through you during a fault. It is not need when you have a 30 ma RCD because that will trip when a there is any earth fault on the circuit

But what if the pipes are already bonded via the main bonding?

I thought that plastic cold water tanks needed to have the pipe entering the tank to bonded with the pipe exiting the tank to maintain continuity of earth since only the cold water supply is earthed to the MET, now I hear it is no longer the case. Are they assuming the supplementary bonding in the bathroom or at the hot water tank will maintain earth continuity

What happens to the other end of the earth cable?

It is connected to the earth block at the consumer unit.
      Thanks for the comment 👍

Also a continuity test should be done where pipe work enters the bathroom and should be less than 1667 ohms.
