- In this video I break out the greatest Sludge of the 90's and review my favorite albums of the slow and fat variety. Sludge Metal really had its heyday in the 90's with the likes of Eyehategod, Crowbar, Acid Bath, Harvey Milk, Melvins and numerous others releasing their groundbreaking records. This scene was particularly strong in the southern United States, where the heat and humidity made for the perfect slow, crawling anguished sound.
