  • The Behringer Model D release date was a highly anticipated date!
Since it has arrived there has been a lot of hype about this model, we are reviewing the Model D Behringer to see if it has lived up to the hype.
If you’re interested in purchasing Behringer Model D Review , you can do so here with a great price: imp.i114863.ne...
    The Behringer D Synth.
The Behringer Model D is a clone of the famous MiniMoog Model D. What does that really mean? It means that the Behringer D is easier to use, more convenient and a lot more affordable, at least in our humble opinion.
The Model D from Behringer is completely engineered and designed in the United Kingdom. It is a great option at a great price for all intents and purposes.
The Minimoog is a timeless classic for sure that found its way into many well-known musicians and producers’ studios but the fact is, it was a bit out of reach for those just getting started at a price over $3500 US.
The fact is there was a great deal of uproar over the cloning of the MiniMoog, but the reality is, if Behringer set out to offer people a real value, they were able to accommodate that market nicely.
It is a huge value with a low entry price, that delivers the bells and whistles that you would get for a synth that was more than 10 times the price.
    Let’s Jump Right In.
We won’t waste a lot of time with musings about the debate over whether it was right for Behringer to clone the Minimoog and whether you can get the same sounds from a much cheaper option.
This review of the Behringer D includes a Behringer D Demo and a review of the features to help you decide for yourself if the Behringer Model D Keyboard should be a part of your studio.
The new Model 3 Behringer has 3 VCO’s, LFO, ladder filters and works great with Eurorack. Some of the key features that we review include:
    • Reproduction of the D circuitry with JFETS and transistors to match.
    • Thin film resistors that are extremely precise. Sulphide capacitators.
    • Authentic VCF, VCA designs as well as VCO designs that deliver authentic analog sounds.
    • The signal path is pure analog.
    • Variable pulse width combines with 5 oscillators that are variable to deliver amazing sounds.
    • A 24db filter.
    • Switchable filter mode from high/low to enhance the sounds you create.
    • Poly chain with 16 voices.
    • Waveform generation with dramatic expansion.
    • 48 controls
    • And more
The first thing we discovered during the review of our Behringer Model D is that while on the inside the components were cloned the outside was noticeably different.
It is not a replica for the MiniMoog on the outside instead it is modeled after the Eurorack. You won’t find a keyboard and even the colors tell you that you are getting something a bit different.
    Does it Deliver?
When we did our review, we decided that we would not compare it to the MiniMoog that we would look at it as a stand-alone model to give it a fair shake.
We found that it delivered on our expectations and we are happy with the model and as MiniMoog fans that says a lot.
Ultimately, we did not want to do a comparison, but it is hard not to compare a clone to the original. What we found is that it performed great and unless you have a highly trained ear, an exceptionally highly trained ear the differences were not noticeable between the MiniMoog and the Behringer Model D review.
We found it was intuitive to use, that is lets us get creative and we loved the sounds we were able to create. We loved the lightweight feature of the Behringer Model 6, it weighs in at less than 2kgs, so it is very easy to transport when you need to.
There are a lot of key features that we found helpful and were amazed worked out great. Look at our review and you will be able to decide for yourself whether this clone is the right option for your music quest.
    Some Tips.
You do want to give it the 15 minutes warm up time that is recommended although we found that it was ready to go in a few minutes.
There have been some reports of tuning issues, but we did not experience them.
    Overall .
    It is worth the money!

I've always been intrigued by the Moog sound. Not $3k intrigued, but $298 worth.

Just picked one up at guitar center in Greensboro North Carolina. I can't wait to get home start learning this awesome piece of technology. Thanks for a great video

  • @thankfully_wokelocd-n-load3691

    It sounds good to me.
Just the little bit you played showed a lot of promise and tonal accuracy of the moog sound. The funk is strong in that little guy. Gotta get one.

Yes it is Michael, btw did you know that you have to calibrate the the oscillators for both range & scale or it will be horribly out of tune. This is done by opening it up & adjusting the trim pots mounted on the motherboard. tuning is to A, & I suggest you do it using a guitar pedal tuner. Careful & correct positioning of the knobs is essential, Behringer have a vid on the procedure that makes it easy to do, to find it search Behringer Model D oscillator tuning guide.

good video but you seemed to have skipped the LFO section entirely. and sadly because with the third osc detached as a drone note you can send some to it and make a much more robust LFO. Then with mod switch on near the filter section, you got the amount of LFO send assigned to your keyboards mod wheel. Good analysis at the end, I thought. It's a great little synth and incredible value for what you get.

Sorry I glossed over the LFO - sometimes I get going and forget to say things, haha. Thanks for watching though. I'm trading mine up for a Poly D asap.

I'd like to hook this up to a digital piano we already have. Is there an affordable option to add the "delay and reverb"?

    • @consordini6258
      @consordini6258  Před 4 lety +2

You could get a cheap multi-FX unit like the Lexicon 200. That'd do it just fine.

    • @fritsvanzanten3573
      @fritsvanzanten3573 Před 3 lety +1

When you have a 'real' piano, with 'hammer action' or 'weighted keys' you have to hit the keys in a way that is not really synth-like. Anyway, your piano will need a MIDI-out. But there may be other, less standard solutions too. For delay and reverb there are the Behringer guitar pedals, 20 bucks each.

I think it's a great synth for poor people who want to build their analog sytnth-based system for live performances. I'm from Poland and I know what I'm saying. :) Curiosity is the origin of many great things (maybe even the all-known Universe). Model D can be the expander of your curiosity if You can subjugate it.

I'd be more inclined to enjoy your channel if you didn'd like you were recording the audio with a $1.99 Radio Shack cassette tape recorder mic. Sorry to be so critical....but it just sounds awful. Instant turn off.
