I absolutely repsect the fact that you show it 'how it is' and not cherry picked. Good on you for that! That is why I would have 100% confidence in one of your builds. Thanks!!
Really interesting comparison! It seems like it’s a balancing act between really tight and accurate tolerances on the one hand and usability for all ammo and consistency on the other. It’s cool to see how it’s the application of the rifle that really defines what ‘accuracy’ really means.
Would love to see more videos with you working on the rifles. Also, what receiver do you prefer and what barrel and scope mounts do you prefer for a .22 build.
Amazing content! I recently got my own lathe, do you have any more in depth videos on getting the barrel perfectly centered, chambering, muzzle threading etc !? Would love to learn from the best!
Come on Kenny you’re selling yourself short, the Vudoo you built for me has not had one issue!! And since you have had it, it’s gone from the JP APAC to a Foundation and now rests in a Gen 4 JAE. No matter what I throw at the action you put together the thing just SHOOTS!!
Wow, I'm glad you straight up put out the cost of a setup like that. I am thinking of getting one of your builds in the future time, I'm not a competitive shooter but more of a pest control guy.
Way to go, very logical discussion. PRS the toughest challenge is the 1/4 inch KYL at 50 yards which takes a rifle that can keep the bullets inside a .4 inch group measured center to center to hit the 1/4 inch bar, assuming your point of aim is true. Bench rest requires at 50 yards a rifle that groups consistently center to center of .215 inches to stay inside the 100 point scoring ring.
I really appreciate the videos you put together. I have a tikka t1x with a kbr bravo chassis. I want to be able to shoot out beyond 300 yards. Do I have a barrel installed or do I need a controlled feed action to be able to shoot constant that far?
Cyclops your Rimner is amazing and is stupid accurate. Love your build Kenny did. I just have a 6 month wait for my Kenny special rimmer. But it sure will be worth it❤
Have you played with any of the other .22 bench rest actions? I know the centerfire bench rest guys obsess over every little detail including bolt lock up and firing pin consistency. Makes me interested to know if there are action designs that a superior when it comes to accuracy potential when set up by an excellent gunsmith such as yourself. Watching some of Eric Cortina’s conversations on “believe the target” with benchrest shooters has really left me wondering if there are areas us rimfire shooters should be looking at as well.
Great video Kenny, you and I are in the process of a RimX build and all my shooting is going to be benchrest using Lapua/SK ammo. Is this something we can keep in mind with my build? I’m too old to be shooting off barriers and prone. Still couple months from actual build, what are your thoughts. Thanks
I primarily use my PRS scopes at 32x for paper. Its just what I got. Most benchrest shooters use fixed power scopes with simple duplex reticles in MOA adjustment.
I don't have the money to spend on high dollar rifles and barrels I own a decent CZ 457 varmint I'm fighting fliers my barrel is torqued to 18 inch pounds my stock is torqued to 35 inch pounds and my rifle also has bad cold bore shots any tips?
THATS GREAT FEEDBACK. I WAS ABLE TO PICK ONE UP ON SUNDAY NEW FOR NEXT TO NOTHING. HAVENT SHOT IT YET, LOOKING AT AMMO REVIEWS FOR THAT PLATFORM IN ORDER TO TEST. ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR THAT IS A DEAL BREAKER FOR YOU OR THAT WOULD NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IF YOU WERE TO OWN ONE.
How are you able to tell which shots are out of the group cause by the ammo and which shots are out of the group caused by the environmental conditions? I see you're not using wind flags. If you're not shooting over wind flags you're just shooting weather reports. 22 rifles are very wind sensitive.
Unlike other channels, I don't use the wind as an excuse. In this sport very few folks are shooting in a science lab environment .... I do not need to setup cheap K-Mart lawn trinkets to clearly demonstrate the accuracy advantage of the benchrest rifle vs a prs rifle in minor 1mph winds.
I absolutely repsect the fact that you show it 'how it is' and not cherry picked. Good on you for that! That is why I would have 100% confidence in one of your builds. Thanks!!
Thanks Kenny. I admire your work and your videos. Blessings
This was pretty cool video Kenny...... Thanks for sharing!!
Great comparison and great explanation Kenny!
Wowzers Kenny. Nail driver for sure. That is crazy accurate. Great work
Man I’ve been following this channel a long time and it’s cool to see your evolution man. Thanks for taking us along for the ride dude!
Well done Ken !! I am very impressed !!
Awesome grouping and very nice setup !
Another awesome build Kenny !!!
Nice build. Nice shooting, thank you for honesty.
Another great video keep them coming
Very cool build! Great Job. Makes me very eager to see how the 6 arc barrel I ordered performs.
Great Video, nice workmanship.
That bench rig is tight. Great job. 💪🍀🇮🇪
Any of those groups are more than good enough for my competition rifles! Keep it up man
That’s some good work. It’s definitely a good shooting rifle. Thanks for the video.

Wow! As I am cleaning my 457 before a match this weekend… I have this video playing! Damn that’s impressive!
looks good man
Another great vid, your skills are mental. Keep them coming bud.
Great video, thanks.

Just great go on sir
The only voodoo without a feeding problem. Hahahahahaha
😄 yes👍

@@mikedody7578lol that’s because
It’s a voodoo built by Kenny. Not a direct from voodoo. Those things take a ton of work to feed right.
Guys this all being said I was just kidding around. Kenny builds the best though. Anything leaving his shop I guarantee is already sorted out.
This is cool. Can’t wait to get my Vudoo back from you! It’s going to slay.
Wow, I'm glad you straight up put out the cost of a setup like that. I am thinking of getting one of your builds in the future time, I'm not a competitive shooter but more of a pest control guy.
Big truth at the 11th minute.

Another awesome rig! I still say I will one day have you build me a 22. Right now I'd like to get my Bergara in to you to see what you could do w it.
HATERS GONNA HATE.... LUV UR CONTENT AND SKILL SET JUST FKN OUTSTANDING PERIOD... UR R THE #GOAT KENNY....
Pretty sweet rifle.....................

The amo inconsistencies is why I enjoy centerfire, if you can't trust the amo it's hard to trust your corrections. There definitely fun to play with!
Definitely agree with you there!
That thing is a friggin laser
I think a voodoo is next for me..have a 40x, a 40x repeater. A cooper that shoot one hole..but got to have a voodoo.
That Vudoo is SPOOOOOKY. But I still wouldn’t trade for my Rim X :)
Cyclops your Rimner is amazing and is stupid accurate. Love your build Kenny did. I just have a 6 month wait for my Kenny special rimmer. But it sure will be worth it❤

What is the brand name of the adjustable tripod rest you are using , and where did you get it??
I grew up in that desert in the 60s... now it is wall to wall people...
Wow another awesome rifle build. That’s a damn tack driver. Your client should be able to shoot fly’s up theirs clackers all day long 😳.
Funny… I had wondered this. Good timing 😂😂
I just saw that fly when editing.... I had that opportunity and tunnel vision got me! 😄👍
@@EagleEyeShooting lol 😂
Voodoo child, need a Jimi Hendrix sticker. 🕺🏻👍🎸
How do I get in contact to get something booked in for a new barrel and a new build please?
Love to see the long barrel I shoot a lot of 100 yard and 200 it makes a difference .you bet
Great video Kenny, you and I are in the process of a RimX build and all my shooting is going to be benchrest using Lapua/SK ammo. Is this something we can keep in mind with my build? Hey Luther, give us a call to discuss. But in summary, these single shot actions do benefit better accuracy over magazine fed builds.
I’ll give you a call, I can probably sell the extra RimX mags for the difference in cost😂
I live in az also. Is the nrl22 community big?
I'm a br shooter and happy with my V22s, although guys with custom 2500x builds are the pros, not a weekend shooter like I am.
please ❤ cz457 thumbhole vs Anchez
What scopes do you use for bench test? Is it very different from normal scopes
I primarily use my PRS scopes at 32x for paper. Its just what I got. Most benchrest shooters use fixed power scopes with simple duplex reticles in MOA adjustment.
Have you tried the carbon six carbon yet?
Yes they suck lol
I put in an order with you for a 22 inch rimx in an mdt acc chassis and I shoot benchrest should that perform ok? Probably should've called lol
Absolutely. Ill be giving you a call week of production. Feel free to email us/call if you got q's
Olso can you recomend a good mil scope ?
Arken Ep-5. I have 4 of them. Great scopes.
Kenny! When you use abrasives around a lathe protect the ways with an oily rag or some newspaper. Grit is death to precision machinery!
Absolutely. I wipe up the bed ways right after. Newspaper is a good idea
Now just finish it off with a Harrel's tuner.
I don't have the money to spend on high dollar rifles and barrels I own a decent CZ 457 varmint I'm fighting fliers my barrel is torqued to 18 inch pounds my stock is torqued to 35 inch pounds and my rifle also has bad cold bore shots any tips?
Save for a barrel. Best solid advice I can give. You'll waste more time and money on ammo fighting
@Eagle Eye Shooting ok well what barrel would you recommend and rough price
CAN YOU GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE CHRISTENSEN 22LR.
Im not a fan. Have had a few hit my shop, unreliable and not as accurate. But that's just my expirence of 5 rifles
Hi there can you made me a drop in barrel for my ruger amercan chamber in 223 remintong .i can purchuse from you directly
Fabian here
I neeb a barrel that shoot with any ammo
why time it to the down, not the up?
Gravity is constant. As long as its timed linear, scope elevation can be adjusted. I ideally aim for high side at 6 to give more scope adjustment
@@EagleEyeShooting but wouldn't you want the high side at 12 so it's exiting going up to give you more elevation?
Thousands. 1,000's
Is this at 25 yards??
No.

Man! Shoot the single shot indoors and take environmentals out. I bet its in the .1s .0s all day long.
Exactly! Im sure ill get some groups from this client. More times then many, you guys are better shooters than I am
There’s no tuner on that barrel when you were testing
That rifle set two ara records... tuners are not needed
