    I have a 2018 F3 Limited. It's definitely time for a refresh. Go automatic, and a new engine. Can Am needs to look at some of the upgrades people add and make them standard. I can't believe they put red reflective tape on the fender. My F3 had an actual reflector. Bring back the lights and turn signals on the mirrors. We need to see some new innovation from them. I will keep my F3 for a little longer until they put out something significant.

      I think they like to focus on changing one model line at a time, so I could see the F3 being next in line for a revision.

    I had a 2020 Ryker Rally. Between my payment and Slingmods, it was nothing but a money pit. In the beginning, it was super fun, but that started to fade really quick. I traded in and got a 2021 XSR900. Now every ride is an adventure, meaning im not just sitting there being disrespected by everything else moving. Overpriced for what you get. Wouldn't ever by another one.

      That would be great, I'd love to see the Ryker Sport and the Ryker Rally get Brembos. Doesn't have to provide the exact same performance as the Spyders, but something above what you see on the base 600 and 900.

      @@3WheelKhalil That's been my biggest gripe about my Rally. Granted, I'm a big guy, but the pedal is too soft and sometimes I wonder if I can really stop when it matters. I need to try the EBC pads one of these days and see if that'll make a big difference, at least with stopping power.

    You’re so good I subscribed, and I’m not a Can Am owner, I ride a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. I’d consider buying a Can Am when if/when they upgrade certain components, and not only on their high-end models.
    Here’s my wish list: LED lights, TFT dash, rider modes, traction control, IMU, ride-by-wire throttle, Brembo brakes, Öhlins shocks, Bluetooth entertainment module, w/GPS capability, tire pressure monitors, heated grips, cruise control.
    I realize some of these features are available, however most are not available (factory) - even on the high-end models. Many of these features were standard on my bike.

    I bought a secondhand 2012 Can-Am spider four years ago. I paid $14,000 since then I had to make about $7000 in repairs. Just to have Diagnostic none done cost about $150 an hour. Then on top of that nature and $165 an hour labor. To have a throttlebody replace cost me $3200 and to have a starter switch replaced cost me $1200. The spider looks beautiful runs great when is running. But man if you need a repair getting ready to pay through the nose. Maybe you don’t want to hear this but maybe you should take my advice and stay away from the spider.

    • @3WheelKhalil
      @3WheelKhalil  Před rokem +2

      Yeah, they are pricey machines no doubt about it. They have expensive tech that makes the Spyder function the way that it does. That's why personally I recommend purchasing a lower mileage or brand new one with a factory warranty and then paying a little extra to extend it out to 5 years or so.

    I have the 2019 Ryker Rally and I don't see anything in the new lineup that would make me want to upgrade to a newer model yet. Besides, with these "VSS Fault/Limp Home Mode" issues I've been having, I'm not sure that's where I would go. Maybe a Spyder, which is a shame! I really have enjoyed the Rally! just crossed 9,00 miles!
    Also, please make more content! Thank you!

    • @3WheelKhalil
      @3WheelKhalil  Před rokem +2

      Yeah, I felt the same way as far as Rykers go. However, the 22-23 Rally models have a fair bit of upside if the price is right. The remote reservoir shocks all the way around, higher ground clearance, cruise control, upgraded seat, more skid plate protection underneath. Stock for stock, it’s a nice upgrade. Problem is that most of us have upgraded a thing or two and then the comparison becomes a little more tricky. I have never dealt with the dreaded VSS faults either, so I’ve been hesitant to give up my reliable model for something new.
      9000 miles is a fair bit of riding man, congrats on that milestone! Stay safe out there. Thanks!

      Check the wires behind your instrument cluster. I was getting codes left and right. Turns out, the garbage mounting bolts from my Slingmods detachable windshield, were half an inch longer than they needed to be….. and they bit into 3 of my wires!!!!

    However, even if it is a little more expensive, you're getting more features. I'm OK with that.
    I'm interested to see what the range is on the electric motorcycles. Not my cup of tea, but, interesting.
    Lastly, I'm hoping they got all of the "bugs" fixed.

    • @3WheelKhalil
      @3WheelKhalil  Před rokem +2

      Yeah, the prices are pretty similar if not the same. Most price "increases" happened last year and they coincided with new trims being released that had more features, so I don't have much of an issue with that. Also, the range and price are definitely the two most interesting things for me when it comes to the electric motorcycles. Lastly, I hope the same thing. My 2019 Ryker has been pretty solid, but the more negative sentiments around the groups lately due to issues with 2022 models has been rough.

Is there a year of preowned RT, that has most of the desirable updates like the 1330 motor, updated display, etc., but would be more affordable? I don’t know when the RT changed to the 1330? I also have a 2 wheel motorcycle and do not wish I had it. Cruise control on a 2 or 3 wheeled motorcycle does not excite me. Especially one that's sport biased; such as a Ryker. I only drive mine 75 mph ..... it gets 40 mpg maybe .... it's 1200 lbs and gets that bad of fuel mileage and you can not drive them at 80 mph or 85 mph and hear the sound system and it's killing that engine revving so high .... that have a good idea but poor engineering in my opinion..... so I'll just use it gentally and try and save it's life expectancy

      What high revving are you talking about? What horrible mpg are you talking about? I ride my 2016 RTL at 80+mph quite a bit, and it’s reviving nowhere near the redline. The redline is 8100 rpm, and at 80mph, it’s barely pulling above 4000 rpm.
      Name a big touring bike that gets better than 40 mpg. For comparison, a Goldwing averages 42 mpg, a Road Glide is around 39 mpg, an Indian Chieftain gets 39 mpg. And those are 2 wheelers with less storage than a Spyder RT. The only thing remotely in the RTs class getting better mileage is a BMW R 1250, and that’s on 2 wheels too.
      If you want lower revs, get a Boss Hoss. If you want better mpg, get a 650. Do some research next time before making a silly comment like this.
