- I drove 500 miles around the Oklahoma Panhandle from Woodward to Black Mesa, stopping at near ghost towns, exploring sand dunes, and visiting the vibrant immigrant town of Guymon. The Panhandle is a place of stark beauty and photogenic towns with a wild and fascinating history. In this video, I share my journey through No Man's Land.

Entertaining, educational, excellent editing and voice over. If this guy can make empty Oklahoma towns look interesting. . . .He's got talent.
Hahahaha, thank you very much.
Some years ago we drove across the panhandle from Dumas to Colorado. I was amazed. I need to go back with a tent and some fishing gear.
There area lot of great places to camp out there, from Beaver Dunes to Black Mesa. Thanks for commenting.
Nice job on the video! 64 hiway is my favorite way to go west, not crowded but the people you do see wave. It takes a hardy soul to live in an area like the pan handle, God bless the people who do.
Highway 64 is nice. There aren't as many trucks as the main road. You are right - it takes a hardy soul to live there!
Curious what drone you were using. Have been in that area several times. The bombing of Boise City was alway interesting
I use a DJI mini2. I got it at Costco for cheap but it takes great video and is easy to fly. I had never heard of the Bombing of Boise City - Thanks for sharing.
Hey there! Love your editing and videos! I'm an Oklahoma native in the Bartlesville area and love this state. Would love to chat with you sometime on the podcast if your interested
I'd be interested. What is your podcast? My email is planetbell1@gmail.com if you want to send me a message.
Did you not hear how Slapout got its name? Great story my Dad also told me when we drove thee Panhandle
I heard one story but not sure it it is true. What did you dad tell you?
I can honestly say I'm a proud Okie from caddo county and this video made me tear up thank you so much for what you did bringing attention to that side of our beautiful state❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Caddo county has some beautiful spots!
It's pronounced "Boys City."
Thank you.
It's pronounced Bois city
Thank you
OK, but is that along the line of the English word "boy" or a quasi-French-like "bwah"?
Pronounced boys E
Thank you!
I graduated Beaver High School in 86. We pronounced it boys city
Yup there's no boys-E like Boise, Idaho, it's just pronounces boys(boise) city
NOT,….
BOISE, sounds like choice, at least 105 years ago when my great uncle Jim showed up, couple years later, showed up dead, robbed and tied to his horse, which returned to the dugout,
Interesting video, so you toured the Midwest and looked for everything negative you could find... You're quite a guy.
What is negative about the video? And the Panhandle is not the Midwest :)
I enjoyed the video. Don't listen to the negative comments and keep doing your thing!
Thank you. I shouldn't have responded to the trolls. @@JLZerilli
Oklahoma is not the wild west.
Have you been to the Panhandle?
WESTERN Oklahoma IS the wild west 110%, eastern Oklahoma is the south. There’s a big difference between the two.
