- Weather is unpredictable and changes fast in Alaska. Traveling between Ketchikan and Juno can be tough since it's one of the wettest places in the United States. For us the most important thing is to avoid getting trapped and inadvertent flight into clouds. Luckily, flying a Helicopter has its advantages such as landing whenever things get dicey. The only problem is that sometimes, between the trees and the water, there's no where to land!
I used to work on Princess Cruises as a musician and once did a whole 4 month season in Alaska and loved it there... taking a helicopter tour to the glacier cemented my already strong feelings of wanting to become a helicopter pilot. 8 years later I've been flying helicopters for 2 and a half years now and currently on the cusp of getting my commercial license! :)
What happened to episode 3?
This is the closest to tourism I’ve had so far in 2021. Glacier flying - amazing - thank you.
Unbelievably beautiful! You guys are amazing. Thank you so much.
On a roll!! Watched 4 episodes back to back! UK viewer learning in the R44 at the moment!! Looks so much fun!!

Where the hell is Ep. 3?? This videos are awesome. Not sure I can aspire to heli life, but the Mediocre Amateurs have really inspired me to start trail running... first race soon!

Cool! Big MA fan here in Haines!
This must have been last year?
I fly a R44z. Question .. the overhead shots … you land, launch a drone, leave one of the ground with fpv or did you fly drone from aircraft after launch?
Unbelievable, another planet ...
Kinda looks like the peak of Mt evens in Colorado
Did you purchase that helicopter in the Seattle area by chance? I feel like I recognize that tail number.
people do this kind a staff with an RV and you with a helicopter awesome..
Where’d episode 3 go? :(
漂亮
You guys have such crazy radio procedures in North America. Lots of unnecessary chatter... it's waaay more consise in the rest of the world.
Excellent footage! But it's spelled Juneau, not Juno.
This is my first of your video to watch.
1. Why did you fly that low over the glacier, knowing if you have engine out you will be trapped?
2. What type of work do you or What do I have to do, study, get a degree in to have your life style?
3. Why do you have to sweat the helicopter out?
Ep 3 missing?
