- It's thr 15th June, and to start the day Vicki & Vicki take a trip to Stratford Upon Avon, leaving Geoff to catch them up for some semi-awkward stations on the way to Leamington Spa. Then it's on Solihull, Coventry and Nuneaton, with an hour to kill in Warwick.
If only there was something interesting to see in Warwick ...
Download the All The Stations theme tune from iTunes here: itunes.apple.com/gb/album/all... (other stores are available....)
Geoff and Vicki are visiting ALL 2,563 national railway stations in Britain - view the progress map and loads more information about the project on the website at: allthestations.co.uk/stationlist/
ROUTE: Birmingham Moor Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International, Coventry, Nuneaton.
Quote of the day "Dorridge. Like Porridge. But with a 'd'".
James Rice And presumably without Ronnie Barker?
Yes. Neither Ronnie is in Dorridge. One of them is in Porridge. Shame they're both gone.
James Rice Agreed. A massive loss. Search for Ronnie Barker British Rail for some fond and appropriate laughs.
I've been to Leamington Spa about 20 years ago 😄
At 5:20
did I hear all the castles?
samuel widdowson yes! Brilliant, eh?
I really like it. it was a nice surprise.
samuel widdowson yes, I believe that you did...
All The Castles! I'm glad everyone agrees.
Yes! Nice little touch at the end.
Hang on - All the Castles instead of All the Stations in the outro?
Andison Lol, I didn't notice. Neat!
Loved the addition of All the Castles at the end, and nice to see Birmingham Grand Central, its beautiful!
Also, 'Dorridge, like Porridge, but with a D' made me laugh out loud 😂
I knew there were two of you Vicki. Probably two Geoff's as well. That explains why one of you says you've never been to the Isle of Wight, and the other was filmed enjoying the steam train!
nice that there are two of her. they should be on camera more often.
Ian Mcclavin I wonder if Dan & Dan edited this episode? ☺
QuarioQuario54321 You're not wrong !!
There are two Geoffs aswell
Have a look at the secrets of the circle line on londonist
Geoff2 also was featured in Least Used Station in London, South Greenford.
All the castles! All of them!
Double Vicki, now that could be a seriously brilliant and interesting day. ☺
Dorridge and Solihull remind me of the North West London area also served by Chiltern... it's a nice symmetry!
Another fantastic video. I love that the editors are clearly having as much fun putting these together as we are watching them. All the fancy little extras here (the 'castles' theme, the 2 Vickis, the rewind effect for Vicki's correction, etc) are done with thought and complement the video perfectly, rather than just being done to show off for the sake of it. Great work! And that was an amazing fact about Dorridge, lol, you learn something new every day! ;)
London Midland train going backwards with the headlight on? TRIGGERED! Absolutely loving the videos though, they're brilliant!
Although I'm not a GWR fan, I do like the period paint scheme and fixtures in Moor Street station. It gives a feel of the elegant age of rail travel.
Chris Bell Yes, they've really done a superb restoration job at Moor Street, considering that only a few years back the through platforms were clad with modern corrugated iron panels, just functional and modern, and the terminating platforms were derelict.
There are bearley any trains calling at Bearley
Just about to write that comment!!😀
This is exciting. I grew up in Warwickshire, so these are all familiar stations.
Next year you should do 'All the Preserved/ heritage lines'.
I’m pretty happy that most of these start in Birmingham my home city.
4:30 Yup. One every evening. Lasts right through to dawn.
True fact: I was the first-ever passenger at Bermuda Park.
Glad it's Bermuda Park Station not Bermuda Triangle Station. Then we've never heard of you and Geoff again...
I bet it was hot at Bermuda Park
"Porridge with a D"..? No wonder there was Nuneaton.
that would be "Duneaton", which means I have to wash the dishes.......
Love that you changed the song to all the castles at the end brilliant hope you're loving Warwickshire!
Big up my home stations, Warwick, Warwick Parkway and Leamington
4:09 - That's my Grandad - what are the chances! I saw his head and I suddenly realised! Even if I missed you, he saw you! I wonder if he'll remember...
Love it, Warwick Castle one of my faves. Vicki and "All the Castles" sounds good to me! Good 'lyric over"! ❤️🚂🇳🇿🇳🇿
Now this episode brought back some great memories! My very first trip to England was in 2008. We stayed in Coventry and the trip included visits to Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle. Thanks for a nice little recap!
The „Dorridge“ comment is my favorite highlight of the whole series. Thanks for the great content!😂
On a less frivolous note, if it hadn't been for that fire at Kenilworth, you might have been doing the Bedworth- Nuneaton section in an ex-London Underground D Stock train today.
I love Birmingham Moor Street. It's like a modern day Victorian station.
I also love Stratford-upon-Avon, the town. So beautiful. Great day trip if you're in and around the Midlands or Lancashire.
And Warwick Castle. Great place.
All the Castles
I don't blame you for not going into the Castle. It may be a fabulous castle, but it's owned by the same group that owns Madame Tussauds, and it's rip-off central. Probably why it's difficult to see it from outside too.
Love the small details. Geoff's reaction to Bearley and Claverdon.
01:44 IMMA OUTTA HERE (the mobility scooter sped up lol)
The music has changed, it now says all the castles
Yes you did... I was just chuckling at the outro music singing All the Castles... nice touch guys!!!!
I love the theme. Great that it's on iTunes!
Got my version on Google Play! (iTunes doesn't like me...!)
ALL THE CASTLES!
Great work.
I just so happen to be visiting stratford and warwick this weekend.....
Vicki looks lovely!
"All the castles" - love it!
Some beautyful stations in this video... ❤ And castles 😁
Anne Hathaway's cottage can be accessed from Queen's Road Peckham station, just head East into Deptford fun city after 2 a.m. and you'll find it.
All The Castles! Love it! Another great video guys!
2 Vicki's sounds like fun.
Excellent video!
At 4:40, two people seem to be attempting a stealth attack on the castle ... or just sneaking in, maybe!
I wonder how many more foods can be turned into station names by just changing the first letter? Porridge seems to have both D and N as options, after all. As soon as I saw they were at Dorridge, I wondered whether Geoff & Vicki are going to buy a second class return to Dottingham and a packet of Tunes ...
Vicki, you are a comedy genius. Loved the new outro too
"All the Vickis; all of them".
Vicki’s Excellent Adventure; becoming the star of the show. Casting agents will be watching (!!!) Good Luck on your Journey you've got what it takes to grab an audience and hold them from the first scene ...
I think Vicky really liked that bagel.. makes me slightly jealous as my local shop ran out lol
My Grandad started his railway career in Nuneaton as a Porter in the late 50s, worked his way up to being a guard. He and my Nanna emigrated to Australia in 68
I heard it at the end! great work guys
Love the "All the Castles"!
There is something particularly engaging about the first three minutes of this video.
So today children, we started with two pipes.... and we ended with none eaten.
Some very interesting editing in today's episode
Nice batch of stations :)
You stopped at my hometown! 🤗
Uneaton 6:41
LOL XD
I just heard "all the castles" too !
I can't believe you didn't show Tile Hill when NR heaven Westwood is there!
Nice Intro, really like that effect :D
I went Stratford on a school trip. I remember catching the train out to Mary arden's farm
Vicky i love your harry potter ear rings!
Last year I found a view of Warwick Castle with the River Avon from a bridge on Banbury Road. Anne Hathaway was William Shakespeare's wife. Her cottage is in easy walking distance of Stratford-upon-Avon Station. Oh and if you get off at Wilmcote you can see Mary Arden's Farm!
Just love Birmingham Moor Street & Solihull
I love porridge with a D!
Ah, Leamington Spa, home of the Dave Gorman who refused to take part in _Are You Dave Gorman?_
It's weird the things you remember...
Vicki and Vicki. Edited by Will. Love it.
Getting all the stations between International and Coventry is a pain! Every time I hear Canley, I think of the song "Living Without You" by Mariah Carey.
Did you see the early postboxes? They're fluted pillars. There are 2 of them in Warwick.
Don't know why I always chuckle slightly whenever I see another station named "Grand Central".
Only The Locals Call Bedworth, Beduth!
If there was a festival of ten minute long films at Bermuda Park, would it be called Bermuda Park Shorts?
Tom S. Fortunately it's not on a junction with two other lines converging/diverging, else we'd have a Bermuda Trrangle !!
(It's ok, I won't give up my day job).
Lots of memories triggered here. Saw some Shakespeare sites in Stratford in 2015, and in 2018 had to go from Birmingham Moor Street to another station (when a train was cancelled) to get to Leamington Spa. Nothing much really, unless one normally lives in Florida.
The only other thing I know of to do in Warwick is see the church where Tolkien and his wife got married (which I did). Didn’t taste Leamington Spa water (warm, salty, nasty).
That was the idea: spa water doesn't taste nice, therefore, it must be good for you.
#VictorianLogic
All the castles it said. Vicki, don't forget about the world's most sung about castle when you go to Sandal and Agbrigg station!
Having lived nearby my whole life, I can assure you it is Bed-worth, Geoff. You were correct
you do love your castles Vicky.
All the castles all the all the castles..
Its Bedworth. As I keep saying to others (Coventry).
I thought this was going to be a vicki only video, then I was disappointed when Geoff turned up half way through 😅
All the castles.... is someone getting stroppy?
Vicky have you been to maiden castle?? It's so fun you can roll down the ramparts!!
Interesting intro,
Vicki you would make a great presenter. Spurting of random stuff you just found out
All the castles ftw!
i love castles as much as i love trains.
Breaking news! Nuneaton: There's a crocodile on the loose in the cloister!
Gah, I was literally in Stratford the next day. Funnily for a Shakespeare rehearsal.
For a moment I thought I was watching "The Parent Trap".Is the world ready for 2 Vicki's? lol
All the Castles :]
All the castles please
My local station!
Next time you find yourselves in Stratford, check out the old boy with a model railway in his from room.
"All the castles, all of them" hahaha
1:44 that’s the fastest mobility scooter ever
It's Bearley a station.
Leamington Spa is where Keeping up the appearances Went 😊
Callum LTFC Coventry mainly. It was filmed in Binley Woods and Stoke Aldermoor.
But the train episode was leamington spa when a HST pulled up
Callum LTFC Yes, you're right.
All the canals please
"Yeah. I'll go to Stratford."
At the end, did it say 'ALL THE CASTLES'? I thought this was all the stations! At 6:41
1tommytrouble Yes it does.
Vicky if you like castles visit Chillingham Castle in Northumberland. It is the most castley castle ever.
from the intro i though there would be two Vikis exploring stratford-on-avon.
